Detective-mystery meets paranormal thriller!
A season pass for Cognition. An Erica Reed Thriller, an episodic point-and-click adventure story packed with challenging puzzles, branching paths, and a disquieting mood, is available on GOG.com 33% off. That's only $19.99 for the first week.
Erica Reed is an exceptional detective, but being special always comes at a price. Her extraordinary gift, allowing her a peek into the past by simply touching an object, makes her the ultimate bloodhound, and yet, causes excruciating mental pain. Her own past is marred irreparably by a personal tragedy. Can she conquer her demons by solving one morbid case after another, or will the unfading shadow of her brother's killer torment her forever? The mystery thickens, as someone starts leaving clues, that can only be uncovered with the use of Erica's unique ability. Who? Why? Can the troubled detective last long enough to find out?
So wait a minute--a season pass?
This may be something new for some of you, so we wanted to let you guys know what we mean by "Season Pass."Cognition. An Erica Reed Thriller consists of four episodes (fourth of which will be released on GOG.com, on 19 September 2013), each of them investigating a seemingly unrelated murder case. Each mystery is its own self-contained game, and when you buy a season pass you'll get all of the games in the "season". You're essentially preordering a season of episodic games. In this case, we already have Episodes 1, 2, and 3 available right now, so you're only preordering Episode 4, which is coming out in a week's time. By buying a season pass now, you're saving 33% off the price of the full season. So if this looks like your kind of thing, picking it up now saves you $9.99.
Uncover dark mysteries behind grisly killings and lead detective Erica Reed to absolution over four tension-filled episodes of Cognition. An Erica Reed Thriller, available DRM-free on GOG.com, for only $19.99. The offer lasts until Thursday, September 19, at 5:59AM GMT.

Shaolin_sKunk: I've always thought "Season tickets" sounded better than "Season pass".
I'd prefer a Backstage Pass to Erica Reed. ;)

Already have the first three, so a very hard call to make. I'd basically be picking this up for the fourth title and the soundtrack (already have the comic too). I'm afraid I'll have to pass for now, though if it comes up in one of GOG's heavy discount sales that could easily change.

Still, glad to see this here, it's a great addition and a good deal for someone who doesn't already have some of the titles.
Yes finally! Hope we'll see more episodic games on GOG. I don't want to wait for a year to buy for example complete season from some of the Telltale adventures when I want it from GOG.

Cognition is on my wishlist :) thanks

DukeNukemForever: Isn't a ticket just for one use (ticket for a ride) while a pass is for more often use?
Semantics. As if that's stopped any marketing team anyway.

Yeah? Nice ring to it, eh?

I don't know about the meaning in other countries, but in the U.S. if I buy a "season ticket" to a baseball, football, soccer (etc) team, it means I have purchased the same seat for every single home game the team plays.
Wow... Episodic games... In that case I'll wait a while with my purchase of Walking Dead Season 1... I hope that this game will arrive here before XMas...
W00t! I'm very happy to see Erica and Phoenix Studios here. It's very solid adventure series full of creative puzzles and it's impossible to not see how much love developers put into it. I've already bought the season pass and can't wait to play it the next week but I'm planning to buy a discounted GOG version as backup.

"Your Choices Matter – Each episode features branching paths, different ways to be complete and solve key puzzles, ensuring different paths for Erica to take to solve the mystery." - Eh, what? I didn't know that, lol.

PS. It's great you also included prequel comics and soundtrack.

Great release! Why won't we call "Complete" or "Gold" instead of Season Pass? ;)

Because it's not complete...yet :P

VanishedOne: Will there even be a facility to own only the first two episodes on GOG? The announcement makes it sound as though the series won't be sold here on a per-episode basis.

JudasIscariot: We won't be selling individual episodes of this one. It's all or nothing :)
Don't call it a Season Pass, call it... early access! XP

I doubt it will, unless Telltate edits the season so that it doesn't do all that online stuff.

That Chick on the front page and some seriously sexy lips
Mmm, I usually don't go for games like this, but it looks intriguing. Wishlisted for the moment.

As far as I know in england too. In germany it's called Dauerkarte (continuous ticket) for a season. Because you can't visit the same games again, the use of ticket (one use) sounds for me fine. On the other hand, here in germany we also say Monatskarte (month ticket) or Jahreskarte (year ticket) for local transportation services, so I maybe should really check the semantics to be sure about what it said ;-)

The release info says the last episode is out next week...

Sadly, due to over-bundling of the first two episodes, $20 is kinda high ($30 higher still). You could easily get the first three episodes for something like $6 without any effort whatsoever for the most part (including most of the bonuses), so $14-24 for the final episode is laughable.

Yes, she does. -__-
Good addition to the catalogue. I'm glad there was more than one release today :P
