I had just discovered this game over the summer break, and wow is it awesome! Now that it's on sale on Steam I noticed allot more people taking to opportunity to try it. I LOVE games like this. Can anyone make any suggestions as to other games that are similar? (Games that aren't called Gothic :P )

Risen is incredible.

Divinity 2 Dragon Knight Saga, Dragon Age, Fallout New Vegas (vaguely), Dark Messiah, Two Worlds, Two Worlds II, Fable, Fable 3, The Witcher, The Witcher 2.

WOW I just bought it off of steam to play it again and it says it's out of keys... um... what? They better supply me the thing I payed for or I'm gonna be freaking pissed off.

Yeah, it's happened before with some Steam sales. They're discussing Risen and mention the lack of keys in This Thread.

I almost bought it off steam until I saw "TAGES 3 machine activation limit." The people on the forums are saying an activation is restored every 45 days, but I haven't seen any official word on that.

Wish I noticed that thread a bit earlier. :|

Dark Messiah is one of my favorite Steam games but it's linear. An FPS done like a level-by-level RPG.

Two Worlds and Gothic are almost identical to Risen and, in fact, Risen is made by the Gothic people and plays like an extension to Gothic.
