28. Double-Knot your Shoes

Zombie Shooter, a frantic top-down isometric trigger-happy mayhem with massive levels, filled to the brim with repulsive animated corpses, and sporting RPG-like upgrade mechanics adding an extra layer of depth to the simplest zombie-survival gameplay concept, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99!

While developers get really creative with the name of their game, a down-to-earth straightforward title will sometimes take you a long way. Gamers like to know what they get into. With a game like Zombie Shooter everything is right there in the open. You look at the title screen and every misconception about unicorns, buggy racing, and managing a football team instantly disappear like the morning mist. You'll be shooting firearms at the life-challenged individuals. Hordes of zombies, lots of led, isometric view, and some interesting RPG-like character development and upgrade mechanics. Sigma Team, the creators of fan-favorite Alien Shooter series have done it once again. What a pleasant pastime!

Make sure to pack plenty of heat and stay on your toes, as you experience the fun part of the zombie apocalypse in Zombie Shooter, for only $5.99 on GOG.com!

amok: Zombie games are not a genre, it is a theme... In this case, the genre is isometric 3'd person action shooter (I think that is correct).

SimpleUser: Yeah you are right of course, it just a fad that I think has gone on for too long. Everything these days is zombie this, zombie that.

Get a game sell it, then add zombies and sell it again.

I don't like zombies.
I don't like zombie games.
I'm a bitter and twisted non-zombie lovin gamer! ;)
I really like zombie-themed games. However, the real problem is that the market is riddled with dead-average zombie games, e.g. this one.
The only thing that hurts this game is the fact it has been in bundle packs countless times which can diminish the value of the game, which you can see in the posts others have made.
I actually own this on Steam, and it is really fun. Definitely buggy at times, but mindless fun. Even worth 5.99.

However, I too must echo disappointment at the lack of extras. Even if the soundtrack is short and only 2-3 short songs, it should still have been included. (Of course there may have been legal issues, but the Sigma's Alien Shooter games come with the OSTs so I'm not sure what would have changed.) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qbGDDDKWoA

And I feel like the GOG year is going to end on a whimper rather than a roar (aside from the big X-Mas sale), but hopefully I'm proven wrong. Still waiting for more big-name publisher classics.
I'm totally confused, I thought this game was already here.

NHL 12 is old the same way as this. I'd like to see 90s to 2005max games on thursdays.

Thinking of this?
I like this game and even if it's not the best possible release, it was about time that more games from the "Shooter" series came here. I like them all and would appreciate if Sigma decided to release their free ones as GOG freebies.

Kind of. There is that, this, and then remakes/extensions, I've totally lost track. Either way I put it on my wishlist because I dig the Zombie games.

JMich: I think they are already dead. Undead even.
Undead is not dead. It's stuff that died and asks for another chance to die. I think zombie games haven't died yet, they are just a disgustingly resilient bunch. Now, if CoD, MoH and Battlefield went back to WW2 scenarios, THAT would be truly undead.

I feel the same.

I did a Let's Play of it recently.

Worth playing IMO.
Thanks for this :)

Also, there's more alien games here than zombie. We should at least even it out, but frankly I don't mind having a bunch of zombie games to delve into and kill my time.
If you want to give us a zombie game give us the Resident Evil series. I'll pass on this.

No it isn't. See how easy it is ?
Kind of interested, since I haven't played this before, but it's not an "instant buy".

The graphics actually seem nicer than I expected, but is it really only 55MB? How does that work, is the game that short? And what about sound and music quality?

Also, this feature made me laugh: "Red or green blood selection." ... Seriously?
