nijuu: Fair enuf. oh well thanks for telling me :)
No worries. :)

nijuu: Im actually wondering why GOG cant include x soundtrack in x game.... or if dev wont agree to it but seems x store can.
avatar
JMich: In the words of TET "Reasons".
It is possible that the artist retains the rights to sell the soundtrack and negotiations didn't work out with them. The developer may had a limited time deal to sell the soundtrack, and it ran its course. The soundtrack's "value" may be more than GOG is willing to part with.
At this point though, it's just speculation.
I like to see that I don't even have to answer questions in the forums to continue to see the promulgation of enigmas. :)
Nice release, too bad for the ost.

I already have it on Steam and through the Humble Bundle, but it's nice to have the complete series here.
Oh good, yet another place in which I can subsequently purchase the game I've already paid for (directly to the developer), but never been given access to. Direct customers were to receive the Windows version of Trine 2 for their Humble Store key sometime in 2012 (yes, 12). As of just now, that has yet to happen.

Sort your damn priorities out, Frozen Byte. Stop thinking "we must fix that sometime", and actually f*&$ing fix it! It's absolutely incredible to me that, despite being aware of the problem, you have failed to provide direct paying customers with the product they paid you for for an entire year (and likely more), and yet concurrently sold that same product through not only other channels but, in the case of HIB9, even the same channel (but for less money than the people you're not giving it to). On what planet is that an acceptable way to deal with your customers?

I don't like to bad-mouth you, but you deserve every word of it.

I can only advise people to never pre-order or purchase anything direct from FB. Apparently that only buys you an unfulfilled promise.

No matter what then I still think that it is a very nice offer with a high discount given by GOG
... aaand bought.

Been interested in this title ever since its original release but didn't want to deal with its Steam requirement.

And since I already own the first game here on GOG, I just grabbed the second one for $2.99, which almost makes me feel like a thief. :P

Thanks GOG.
My first Instabuy since System Shock 2

Actually, I'd recommend people never pre-order anything, ever, especially games. That is, unless they don't mind potentially wasting that invested money. Seriously, 90% of he time the customer gets screwed over, one way or another.

But anyway, did you contact them directly about it? You'd think it's in their interest to just send out some copies of the game and keep their customers/fans happy. Very strange.
how about multiplayer? are there any differences between this one and steam version? does the game use steamworks?

People have been asking them occasionally on their forums/comments, and the answer was generally "we're working on it". This has nothing to do with pre-ordering though - every Humble Store/widget purchase of both the base game and DLC, up until the recent Complete Story release, is affected. I've bought the game in Jan 2012, some time after release, for instance.

eupawel: Trine 2 ... Idon't care about ost, but without manual? really? o_O :/
Games still have manuals? Most of them are so self-explaining today (or have tutorials), I wonder when I read the last one.

Yes, I've previously contacted them directly. I'm certainly not in the habit of ranting on this level without giving the subject a fair chance to sort things out. It's just reached the point where seeing it cropping up for sale makes me rather angry, and some public outrage seems appropriate.

Same question. Does this use the same servers as the Steam or HB version? Could I play online with someone who has Trine 2 on Steam?

You can be pretty sure that the game was stripped of all Steamworks features. Question is whether the multiplayer is powered by Steamworks and the GOG version was simply stripped of all the multiplayer functionality (the way it happened to Brütal Legend, I think).

Nope. Apparently it says "Online and local co-op with up to three players." on the store page.

EDIT: You ninja edited me! ;-)
