Can we play co-op mode with others?

Nice, looks like we got the full complement of complaints in this thread:

1. This has been out for soooo long, its too late!
2. How dare you not include the soundtrack!
3. I already bought this elsewhere, how dare you sell it now!
4. No linux? Thats outrageous!

How about this is a great price for people who already have the first but never picked up the second? Or those who never bought the games can get the complete set for very cheap?

Let me administer some tough love for those linux users: its not happening, you will need to deal with it. Either buy the game elsewhere or run it in Wine. Those are two simple alternatives to constantly complaining about it in every release thread. Just because you want it doesn't mean GOG or any other store has to provide it. If it pisses you off that much, use your power of the consumer and take your business elsewhere. I use a Mac and when I first started buying games here, there were barely any (none?) Mac versions. There are still games which have native Mac versions that are not available here. Do I whine about it? No. Why? Cause its pointless. I can't do anything about it so I deal with it. I'm not even bothered by it because Wine usually works extremely well.

I understand bitching, I do it at my job all the time - it makes you feel better. But my work is not going to change cause of my bitching. It will require me to find a new job.
Good thing I held out and didn't pick this up on Steam. So glad to see this on here
Picked up trine 1 quite a while ago now. Trine 2 for $2.99? no complaints here.

Reever: Good thing I have a huge backlog, this wait I can wait a looooooooong time tillall games I'd like to buy come to GOG :P
So, this games looks really gorgeous, and it seems it's good enough. But what about the puzzles? Are they doable? For a novice?
And how's the story? (if there is one :P).

For this price, I might buy it anyway, since I had my eyes on Trine 2 for some time now!

pigdog: The puzzles are doable for a novice. In the main, they are physics and character-specific i.e. the wizard has to do a certain puzzle. The only thing which may be a little annoying is the auto-save points in T1 are at the end of each level which can take 20 to 40 mins to reach (there's no manual save).

The story is ok and the characters are charming enough.

Overall the gameplay clinched it for me. For the price, I'd definitely recommend both.
I hate not having manual saves, but that ain't thaat bad! Thanks for answering! :)
Will probably buy this, still have the whole week for it anyway :D
Awesome. Been waiting for this one to come here. :D
Thank you GOG. I have been considering buying these games for a while, but I was really waiting for Trine 2 to show up here before I purchased them. Great price.
I have this on Steam and this is a steal.

If you haven't seen it before Trine puts you in control of three characters, a warrior, wizard, and rogue. You can only control one at a time, but you can freely swap them out on the fly. There is some combat, but the majority of the game is navigating the levels filled with traps and obstacles. Many of these act as physics based puzzles. The game also contains XP bottles & items that you can collect in order to improve your characters.
Dear GOG, we're seeing less and less soundtrack with new releases. That's not how it supposed to be!
I was going to ignore this until I beat Trine 1, but an 85% discount, bringing the price down to $3, is so ridiculous I basically couldn't ignore it.

It's almost the norm in indie games development for the musicians (i.e. individuals not part of the development team) to retain the rights to the OST; including the OST would most likely require a separate deal which in turn would affect the end price. and [url=https://secure.gog.com/forum/general/release_trine_2_complete_story_trine_series_special_discount/post53]here are two posts where JMich puts it quite accurately.
Great deal, ofc, but fact that Trine 2 was released in Humble Bundle 9 (for basic tier) WITH both soundtrack (for game and DLC) is kinda ruining whole fun.

Not for this game. You see, Frozenbyte have in-house musician Ari Pukkinen who is wrote soundtracks for all their games i know - from Shadowgrounds to Trine 2. SO basically they have all rights for soundtrack and can offer it if they want.

nijuu: Not sure why they don't for all games which dont come with OST...at least as an option
avatar
JMich: As mentioned before, GOG has 3 choices.
1) Sell the game at base price without OST. People complain about lack of OST
2) Sell the game at premium price with OST. People that don't care about OSTs have to pay more for the base game, since the OST doesn't add any value to them.
3) Sell the game at base price without OST. Sell OST as extra. People will complain that OST should be included with the game in the base price, and that GOG is greedy.

Which option is the best for the store?
The best option is:

4) Sell the game at a little bit higher price with OST. People are happy! :)

I don't care for OSTs. Why should I have to pay $5 more for the base game when I can get the game by itself on another store for $5 cheaper?
Aka see point 2.

On their own site, via Humble widgets they have resolved this problem in other way - they have just two option to purchase game without OS for lower price or purchase WITH OST for bigger price. And this solution is pretty common - many games offer deluxe versions with extra stuff included. OFC, some can say its still greedy after all, but peoples who dont care about soundtrack will not say that they was ripped off

Because usually OST included with game purchase is sold cheaper then same OST alone.
