Notice:
We're glad that another long-awaited Bullfrog Classic finally joined our catalog. We know that many of you were anxious to see it here. At the same time, we need to disappoint those of you, who were hoping to pick it up during the upcoming Winter Sale. This particular title won't be discounted this time, as the sale is coming too short after it's release. So, you can be sure you can pick it up today, and you won't feel foolish seeing it discounted in a few days from now ;-) Just a heads up from your friendly GOG.com team!
Not to be an ass but how long before someone ignores this release and starts another "GOG doesn't release any more good old games" thread?

lugum: Is there anything like this with a zoo/animals?

Leroux: Zoo Tycoon?
Cheers, i knew there would be something. now to wait for that to arrive on GOG.
Finally!! You certainly took your sweet time with this one.
Is this the floppy or CD version (the latter letting you enter certain rides such as coasters and the haunted house)?
Nice, another Bullfrog game. How's this one compares with Rollercoaster Tycoon?

Another one to add to the wishlist then. (thought i had it but its only the first part)
I had to try myfreezoo through tremorgames, and i really liked it, but you were forced to buy coins for real money and wait everytime, getting one of those zoo tycoon or RC3 tycoon would surely cut out those problems.

keeveek: At last! Now Theme Park World, please! :D
Interesting question - if/when they release it here, will it be called Sim Theme Park or Theme Park World?

Also, have you lost some hair there?

Judging by the download size described on the gamecard (82 MB) it's clearly the CD version.

I wasn't aware that you could enter rides yourself, though. I mean, I remember reading/hearing such a thing already in the 90's but I always considered it a rumor as I was unable to find it myself (admittedly I had only borrowed the CD-ROM version for a few days from a friend and only played it for a day or two, I mainly played the floppy version). In one magazine I actually saw a screenshot showing a first person view of a roller coaster and the comment said something about the ability to ride them yourself but the screenshot was actually taken from the intro, again making it appear like some kind of misconception.

As soon as the next indie comes out this week.

Interesting question indeed. I presume that the decision how it will be called is ultimately made by the publisher and I can imagine that EA will go for the American title Sim Theme Park (even if Theme Park World seems to be the original one).

By the way, I thought Sim Theme Park was the American title of Theme Park Manager while Theme Park World was still published by the same name everywhere.
Now that's something I did not expect to see.
Played a lot of the Genesis version. I do wonder how it compares to the pc version though.
