There must be some kind of way out of here, said the joker to the thief.

The Inner World, a comedic adventure game set in one of the most original gameworlds you'll get to visit and filled with some of the most peculiar characters you'll get to meet, is available 25% off on GOG.com for Windows and Mac. That's only $11.24 for the first week.

Somehow, the most amazing adventures tend to take place in the weirdest of worlds. May it be a ring floating in space, a planet covered tightly with meandering artificial river, or a disk resting on the back of four elephants standing on the back of a turtle--those strange realms teem with odd and fascinating inhabitants and most unusual events. Asposia is one of such worlds. It's contained whole in a large bubble suspended in an universe composed of solid matter. When its denizens look up, they're actually looking inside, and the only thing stopping them from seeing the other side of the bubble, is a large cloud floating in the middle of the bubble. In such a strange environment three wind fountains are providing fresh life-sustaining air. Now, one of them is starting to fail.

The Inner World is an extensive adventure experience filled with cartoonish graphics, original ideas, and tons of brilliant humor. The gameplay is easily adjustable to your level of point-and-click adventuring experience with multi-level hint system and optional hotspots. The world you set out to explore is extraordinarily large and filled with challenging brain-teasers. On GOG.com, the game comes with some interesting bonus goodies, such as full MP3 soundtrack and an Encyclopedia Aposia document.

Join a pair of mismatched heroes, Robert the Joker and Laura the Thief in The Inner World, for only $S11.24 on GOG.com. The 25% discount launch offer will last until Friday, October 4, at 9:59AM GMT.
This seems interesting...

Wishlisted for now.

G-Doc: Incidentally, I was listening to Jimi Hendrix' version of the song, while writing the newspost. :-)

makr3la: Absolutely the greatest version of this song :-)
What even Bob Dylan himself once confessed!

btw: @ G-Doc: good taste of music! :)

Here's what I meant:

"Dylan has described his reaction to hearing Hendrix's version:
"It overwhelmed me, really. He had such talent, he could find things inside a song and vigorously develop them. He found things that other people wouldn't think of finding in there. He probably improved upon it by the spaces he was using. I took license with the song from his version, actually, and continue to do it to this day."
In the booklet accompanying his Biograph album, Dylan said:
"I liked Jimi Hendrix's record of this and ever since he died I've been doing it that way... Strange how when I sing it, I always feel it's a tribute to him in some kind of way.""

Another interesting game, keep up the good work GOG!
Hmm not sure I'm into the art style, then maybe it is something that grows on you?

As for All along the watch tower, it appears my music collection has 3 versions of that song. Hendrix (which is the best), U2 and XTC. Now of course I'm listening.
I remember reading about this game earlier this year on some other sites. It looks pretty cool - wishlisted. :)
That was the best trailer ever.
God love you GOG!

Keep the point and click adventures coming!

There's too much confusion! I can't get no relief! Outside in the cold distance, I read the newspost, and the game seems fantastic if a little strange. The game world seems to be wrapped in a purple haze, and the graphics are kind of like watching the sunrise from the bottom of the sea. So tell me, are you experienced with this game? Is the game world really an axis-bold as love?
I'm looking forward to trying this one.
over the past year or two gog has proven itself to be a great ally to the adventure genre. hip hip hooray!
Veeeeery nice!
This looks absolutely fabulous. Wishlisted for now, though, as I'm currently obsessed with Minecraft and can't stop playing it :)

I do love The Inner World art style. though and the trailer is fabulous. Will definitely pick it up in the next few weeks.
Never heard of this one, but it looks pretty good; nice release GOG!
Anyone bought and played this, and can comment on the game as such?

I like Adventures, and the video is great...but the art style...well, let's say - it's not really my favorite one.

So, how is the actual gameplay, story...?

Thanks in advance!

i've been reading reviews on amazon.de. it seems that they seem to agree that the game is easy, with good humor, short (6 hours of gameplay, fewer than 20 hand-drawn backgrounds), and cannot compare to a Daedalic title. i dig the art style so i'll probably get it.

Hi, thanks for your answer...will check the reviews on amazon.de...have a nice day!

Edit: after reading some reviews (on Amazon) and User comments (on Steam), I purchased it (on GOG). ;o)

Kind of a shame, that the devs aren't around here the same way they seem to be over on Steam, though.
