Shadow of Chernobyl + Clear Sky + Call of Pripyat up to 70% off!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, the phenomenally immersive FPS survival horror series set in the terrifyingly believable radioactive "Zone" surrounding the explosion site of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, is available up to 70% off on GOG.com. That's only $14.97 for the set of three for the next 72 hours.

Not many people truly understand what it means to be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. We're Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers, and Robbers. Basically, what each of us is, is a bit of a soldier, a bit of a thief, a bit of a hunter, a bit of a nutjob, and a full-time basterd. Imagine what's happening in our heads. The Zone is calling for us ahead, new locations and unknown threats, spatial holes and monsters hiding in the fog, pitch-black nights and saving rays of a rising sun. You try to avoid anomalies and hide from blowouts, discover the Zone and collect artifacts, cure radioactive irradiation and fight for any stalker faction you like! This is the life, right? If only it didn't end so promptly, ever so often.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series delivers one of the most immersive and enthralling experiences in the history of first-person shooters. Calling it a "shooter", however, might be a bit of a stretch. The games' focus leans mostly towards exploration and stealth. In most cases, it's best to avoid encounters rather than face the dangers head-on. The Chernobyl exclusion zone is full of things that could kill you in an eyeblink. Strange creatures, physics-defying phenomena, not to mention the other men bold or insane enough to venture into the heart of eastern-european Twilight Zone. The competition is ruthless, as the prizes are great--the fascinating artifacts found in the forbidden land yield unbelievable prizes on the black market. If you think you have what it takes to become one of the fabled S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, the whole story of the Chernobyl Zone opens before you: the original Shadow of Chernobyl, the prequel Clear Sky, and the sequel Call of Pripyat. All three games come with high-quality soundtracks encoded in lossless FLAC format.

For the next 72 hours, that is until Sunday, February 9, at 10:59 GMT, you can get the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series 70% off, that is for only $14.97. Separately, the games come with 50% off discount for that time.

EDIT:
Now, that the release special offer has expired, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are priced at $19.99, $9.99, and $19.99 for Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat respectively. A permanent 20% off series discount still applies, if you get all three at the same time.

F4LL0UT: I think that's like the opposite of what he was asking for.
It contains a lot of gameplay fixes, I've tried it on Stalker 1 and the graphic is pretty much the same.

Even the modders themselves advertize the mod mainly as a graphics overhaul. :P

Lol, I play all games on MINIMUM, so that could be the problem :D

theslitherydeee: Should I buy or should I not. I'm on a budget right now and already bought a few games the last sale. I don't want to push it, but I don't know when the price will be this good again. Any thoughts?

decece: I just bought it.

I've never seen the whole trilogy this cheap. Get it before it's too late.
Yes, and considering you get all the soundtracks and bonus stuff included in this low price, what essentially equates to $5 per game is actually pretty good.
I was agonizing over getting it at the reduced price. I have a big backlog but the 70% off with all the extras was incredibly appealing. In the end I watched the timer run out.

OptimusHun: Despite the great offer, I have money for 1 game only. Anyway, have too much games too beat them. :P Also have the first STALKER game on Steam, never finished. I spoiler anything, if I buy Clear Sky and play it before Shadow of Chernobyl?

Licurg: Finish SoC first. The other two, you can play in any order you want, but you must finish SoC first .
OK, thanks for the spoiler free heads up. :)
Edit: Nevermind, got mixed up

You should only buy it now if you want to play at least one of the three games now and the other ones later. Otherwise it will probably save you money and potentially budget problems if you wait until the next sale which might come anywhere within the next weeks to the end of the year. But if you buy then only the game(s) that you really want to play you almost always get cheaper. It almost never pays off to buy immediately. There will be most probably 70% discounts on these ones again.

So, that was the voice of reason. Now if you want to listen to reason or to something else... :)
Shame i missed out on the deal, hope you guys do another sale for this game! I've had this series on my wishlist for a while but had a problem with the credit card at the last moment on buying it.

Novotnus: I wonder... how long will it take S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to beat Jack Keane 2 on the best-selling list :)
In the end S.T.A.L.K.E.R game left HALF of gog catalog behind. That's quite amazing sale.

If I counted correctly (if you cound 12 free games):

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky 345 (357)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl 346 (358)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat 356 (368)

Jack Keane 2 66 (78).

That's quite a position to reach in just 2 days.

Numbers's are from bottom up, ie 1 is last in sales.

Ugh, these releases are killing me!

I'm about halfway through playing Far Cry 2 for the first time and now the Stalker's come out on GoG (and instabought by me).

Having never played Clear Sky, I dl'd and installed it just to have a peek at it. (I have played the other two multiple times - CoP with many mods as well. Coincidentally I had just mentioned CoP as a favorite shooter just two days before GoG announced them (
here)).

As expected, the map shows many of the areas I've now seen in various CoP mods (a spoiler for me but I'm okay with that).

But what also is happening is that now I am losing enthusiasm for continuing playing FC2. I want to get into CS :) I may end up parking FC2 for now and jumping over to CS.

The pull of CS is strong.... Argh! What to do!?

Heck yeah! A well-deserved DRM-free release of a fantastic game series with fantastic mods. You might want to look into providing files for both the 1.04 and 1.05 versions of Shadow of Chernobyl, since from what I remember some good mods stopped development at 1.04.

I'm still waiting for a game that captures the same feelings of awe, loneliness, horror and mystery as SoC.

If people want a downgrade option that doesn't involve editing the registry, they can vote on it here.
