Rrrrrrrnnnn! EEEEEEERRrrrrnNNNNNN!

Vrrrrooom! If you like fast cars, tight turns, and pulse-pounding races, then today's release is sure to please: Race Driver: GRID--known in the US simply as GRiD--screeches over the finish line for just $7.49 this week during its 50% off intro sale.

In GRID, you're a driver with dreams of going big: you start out driving in others' cars for money, but soon enough you'll start your own team, picking the races you want to compete in, buying the cars and equipment that you need to get the advantage over the other drivers, and traveling the world to compete. With 43 cars and 3 different regions to compete in--the US, Europe, and Japan--there's plenty to captivate adrenaline junkies. But that's not all: GRID also features an innovative "flashback" system, whereby you can rewind time a few crucial seconds to fix any sloppy driving or mistakes, avoid crashes, and generally gain the needed edge to win. With open wheel racing, demolition derbies, GT racing, there's plenty of variety in gameplay.

Real road courses such as Le Mans are in the game, as well as street circuits such as such as the Detroit and Washington D.C.. There are also a number of fictional tracks, such as street courses in San Francisco, and Milan, and Mount Haruna.

Is that enough to get your pulse pounding? Check out Race Driver: GRID this week for just $7.49--that's half off the full $14.99 price!

Kunovski: what is that?

no GOG installer, just a ZIP file? and 5,7 GB? that's not very nice, GOG... I guess I'll wait for a proper installer, maybe you just were in a time pressure for the release :)
Next you'll tell us it's just a zipped Steam folder with inert Steam files.
Wow, this is unexpected and very nice release. I've been playing GRID a lot. Will pick it up later eventually :)

stinusmeret: The zip file extracts into an installer + 4 bin files >_<
I think they may have done this so you don't have 5 seperate files downloading in the downloader (unless that's changed recently).
and that is bad cause my flash drive is FAT32...
MP is still working for GRID?

grviper: Provided you find the button assignments satisfactory. If not, or if you intend to use a DirectInput device, you're in for pain and third-party software.

Zoidberg: wasd for direction is totally unplayable! XP

Yeah, using a controller is better but it's the idea that your azerty keyboard is not worth the hassle to implement a binding procedure.
Tried using keys (yeah i know dumb move for a driving game) once on another 'copy'. It was a real bitch trying to drive.
Controller is a must i think...

Don't forget Operation Flashpoint ! Even if it's not a racing game, it's still a Codemasters game that is not on GOG anymore.

Wow, having only joined recently, I didn't know that GOG used to have these. Probably instant buys for me if they ever bring them back.

Actually, it is availible - only under a different name:
http://www.gog.com/gamecard/arma_cold_war_assault
http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/ArmA:_Cold_War_Assault - here you have the details
Actually, the controls are perfectly rebindable - you just need to switch to the "custom" tab in the key binds screen and you can change everything fine.

I myself drive on A/Z </> and S/X for gears, did that since Network Q Rac Rally... anybody remembers this?

Tolya: did that since Network Q Rac Rally
Yip. It should have been on gog ages ago :D, but doubt it'll be

Oh that sucks, but only 1% of GOG community would care about online feature anyway :p
