When being a master of a dungeon just doesn't cut it.

Overlord + Raising Hell, a fantasy action-adventure game in which you become a revenant lord commanding his mean minions to ravage and conquer the realm, is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

Ooooooh! Now I'm really mad! They shouldn't have done that. Fools! What's the big idea, putting me in that tomb? Yes, I was dead. So what? Like death ever stopped any lord of evil and treachery before. Death is like a brother to me! Well, a second cousin, but we still keep in touch. Did they seriously think I would stay dead? Those maggots, those idiots, I'll rip off their arms and feed them to the crows. Then I'll feed the crows to the wild dogs. Then I'll make dog stew and feed it to those basterds! Oh, yes, my wrath will be terrible, my retribution swift! Minions! Minions!!! Minions!!!!! Gather, my faithful beasties. The time has come. We go to war. Ha! Haha!!! Hahahaahhahaah!!!!!

Overlord + Raising Hell presents you with a whole fantasy realm ready for plucking. In this action-adventure title you become an evil (or, optionally, really evil--the choice is your's) revenant lord that plans to take over the kingdom by force and take revenge on the corrupt heroes who ruled it in his absence. He's accompanied by a host of vile gremlin-like minions that blindly follow his command. That adds another layer of gameplay in the lines of simple real-time strategy. The GOG.com edition comes with the Raising Hell expansion for maximum impact.

You can practice being evil by stealing candy from some babies, selling it to diabetics, being sued, winning the case, getting amends for being traumatized by the legal system, and then spending it all ($9.99 that is) on Overlord + Raising Hell on GOG.com!
Great game. Already own it on Steam though so I will have to wait for a promo before buying it just for the sake of owning it on GOG.

Btw, it's one of few modern games that actually make me laugh - the humor alone makes it a game worth buying.

Licurg: *sigh* My PC can't run it...

Lifthrasil: Then it might be time to upgrade your PC. Not for this game specifically. But a PC not able to run a 6 year old game might need a bit of a boost (or a replacement).
You might be right, tho I'm currently broke, so it'll be a while till can I buy a replacement.
What a splendid surprise! I did not expect this at all : D. Please release Overlord II while you're at GOG! Man I love the Overlord games!! Come on Codemasters, we need a Overlord III and you got to release it here day one! I will buy it in a second!

And Fez is coming to GOG soon, this is a great day indeed : )

JMich: Since you are here (Quick! Grab him!), is this the game hinted as the classic?
avatar
TheEnigmaticT: It is the classic.

A great release and somewhat a surprise

MadalinStroe: Nobody is saying that the game shouldn't be released on GOG, but this was advertised as a classic. And it's not. It might be a great game and I will try it, but it is not a classic.
I guess whining never gets old here...
I only ever played Overlord 1, but I recall enjoying it . May have to grab this at some point

That's a legitimate complaint! The assholes on GOG dare to consider Overlord a classic, which doesn't match with what the poster said.
Only vaguely interested in it but still wishlisted. This is some great release: good price (stop comparing Steam promo price to regular prices elsewhere, it makes no sense), great extras and multiple languages.

Thanks !
Too much whining.

This is a pretty great game. The minions are awesome and hilarious and the graphics catch a bit of a Fable vibe.

You could try the demo to check how it really runs, I remember playing this game on a worse system than the one specified in the minimal requirements.

Hmm... I just might try that.

EDIT: Holy Shit ! The demo has over 1 GB !

Oh, so good to be evil ;)
Wishlisted now, surely buy soon...
avatar
JMich: Seeing as you can't buy it yet here, nor is there a release thread, I don't see that as a problem currently.

Wishbone: It's being released here in a week, which means it'll be a problem in a week. Might as well take care of it now, don't you think?
Wait.....Don't Starve is coming to GOG??

How on earth did I miss that 'Coming Soon' button?

Ecstatically excited. It's one of only two games I've been dying to buy this year (the other is BioShock Infinite) but that were only available on Steam. Very very excited I'll be able to pick this up on GOG. Yay!!!
Nice game. Got kind of old after a while, but it's pretty and the minions are adorable. I still remember them running over to me with something they found going `For the master!' and me going ` :3 aww thanks guys, you make it hard for me to treat you like the cannon fodder you are!'
