The secret art of weaving magical carpets capable of flight is now lost to mankind, but in the ancient times, when the mystical powers were still abundant in the world, every self-respecting magician simply had to have one. So, when the evil demon lord Vissuluth rose to power in the mysterious realm of Netherworld it was clear that the forces of good will meet him in battle in the skies. Once-prosperous land, now infested with monsters and terrorized by evil wizards needed a champion. The benevolent magician Kafkar saw that champion in his visions, riding a magic carpet into the heart of chaos and strife, gathering mana and firing mighty spells at his opponents, reshaping the foundations of the realm. That champion is, of course, you.
Magic Carpet 2: The Netherworld is a fast-paced, open world flying action game in which you soar through the strange skies of a fantastic land on a flying carpet. You wipe out your enemies with a wide range of offensive spells and gather the mana orbs that they leave behind, to accumulate even greater power. Just as most Bullfrog titles, this one too is a bit of a god game: you can either help or harass the nomads inhabiting the plains of Netherworld, and with spells like volcano, earthquake, and gravity well, you can even shape the terrain around you.
