Los Luchadores Locos!

Guacamelee! Gold Edition, a modern metroidvania style action-platformer-brawler inspired by Mexican Luchadores, with fast-paced action, incredible combat moves and combos, brilliant humor, and stylish colorful graphics, is available 10% off on GOG.com. That's only $13.49 for the first week. But there's more! In the first week, a free copy of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack comes with every Guacamelee! Gold Edition purchase.

Juan Aquacate was just a simple agave farmer until destiny reached out, grabbed him, and sent him on a heroic quest through the world of the living and the realm of the dead. Magical Luchadore power was bestowed upon him, so he could face all the unimaginable dangers, strange beasts, and bloodthirsty freaks he would meet on his path. Face them, and beat the livin hell out of them, that is. In the magical, colorful world of Mexican legends where humans, demons, and the dead meet in hand-to-hand combat, Juans story unfolds before your eyes.

Guacamelee! Gold Edition combines the time-proven exploration platformer gameplay with sleek melee combat mechanics inspired by the Mexican Luchadore wrestling, with a whole lot of extra magic and badassery added. The game's aesthetics is firmly rooted in the Mexican folklore, but takes all its special flavor one step further to create a colorful, memorable, and vivid gameworld. The combat system is surprisingly deep, allowing for incredible combos and creating a whole extra level of challenge. On top of that, you'll need to learn how to exploit your hero's ability to shift between the worlds of living and the dead, to pass obstacles on your way. With great gameplay depth, beautiful design, and optional cooperative mode, this fantastic brawler/slash platformer will blast you off your feet like a glass of tequila on a sunny day!

Prepare for some hot & spicy Mexican badassery as you explore the crazy incredible world of Luchadores in Guacamelee! Gold Edition, for only $13.49 on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount offer and the free Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack offer last until Thursday, September 5, at 9:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

I really liked what I saw of it when it was announced for Steam, and getting a second (and well recommended) game for free sure don't hurt either. :)

I don't buy indies on Steam, so I'm never in danger of getting it there before it may come on GOG.

kodeen: ...and for some reason chickens are a big fixture in this game.
El Pollo Diablo is at it again! ;)

A very tempting offer, especially because of the bonus Blob game...I'm generally not into platformers but both of these games look really wacky and original.

Endzville: Hey, guys, although this obviously won't have Steam-exclusive features, I was wondering if it'd have this that I read on the developer's website for the Steam release:

“El Infierno” level expansion. Brave the fires of El Infierno and prove yourself in a series of challenges to unlock powerful new costumes for Juan and Tostada
Those are general Gold Edition bonuses, not Steam exclusive.

Thought it might be, but I figured I'd double check anyway. Cheers.
For PC AND Mac ???

tinyE: I beg to differ, it makes fun of Mexican wrestlers. :P

Foxhack: WE'RE ALL WRESTLERS HERE

WE'RE BORN WITH MASKS ON, WE ONLY TAKE THEM OFF TO PROTECT OUR WRESTLING IDENTITIES
Soooo what's your wrestler identity then? :P

Mine is EL POLACO DE VARSOVIA, defender of buses! Prepare to meet your DOOOOOOOOMMMM!!
None of you shall mess with El General de los Cacahuates, protector of peanuts and eater of pies!

Definite wishlist for this one, even though I can get it elsewhere and play it immediately (my laptop is up to the PS2/Xbox era as far as hardware). Meh, but I love GOG so much, I'll buy it here. I'll wait for a larger discount as Mutant Blobs Attack doesn't seem appealing to me.
You all have forgotten about Santo Fontanello, Frighter of roosters and lullabyier of vegetable ice creams.

Game looks colourfully-nice, by the way :)

I'd just like to say that after giving a piledriver to an undead aardvark, I can safely say this game is great. Well worth the $13.50 for two games.

If you haven't headbutted an undead aardvark, then you haven't lived :D
I already have it on PS3 and what little I played of it I did enjoy.

I think I'll buy it again here though, when I try to think of something to play I just never seem to remember my console games as options, besides, I'll be moving away soon and won't be bringing my PS3 with me, so having my games tied to my GOG account pretty handy.
I already own it on my Vita and on Steam. Sure, I'll buy a third copy, you never know when you might need one.
Is there a Guacamelee demo avaliable anywhere? I can't seem to find one.
