A game where you punch stuff with your fists!

Fist Puncher, an insane comedic brawler with pixelated graphics, cow throwing, and bucket-loads of weird humor, is available 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the next 48 hours!

Fist Puncher is one of those games so full of explosive insanity, that it's not easy to describe to the general public. Let's try either way. There is this team of violent vigilantes, led by the neurosurgeon / martial arts master / philanthropist / macho / rockstar / crime fighter, Doctor Karate. With the help of a disgracefully doping ex-athlete Steroid Jackson, the masked Beekeeper, and deadly derby girl Hella Fistgerald, as well as a whole cast of other deranged keepers of justice, he takes on a evil syndicate led by the kingpin of crime known as The Milkman. The crew blasts through the city of Las Cruces, turning chaos and mayhem into more chaos and mayhem, in the good old tradition of bombing stuff for the sake of peace and justice. In the process, they will throw cows at goons, participate in ostrich races, and crush Nazi birthday parties. OK, how's that for a description? Nope, still doesn't do the game justice. There you go: see the madness with your own eyes!

Fist Puncher Hollywood Cinematic Michael Bay Trailer: Extended Director's Cut

tinyE: Screw the naysayers, I'm buying!

One question, how is the SP? The description talks A LOT about teams and such and I want to make sure this isn't a hint about needing friends to actually enjoy this.

JudasIscariot: I beat the whole game by myself and it was rock solid :)
I have to think about it now, I just noticed the other release. Lets see, eat or buy Fist Puncher and Heretic Kingdoms?

Buy Ramen Noodles, eat for a week, skim from the inn's petty cash :P

vicklemos: I agree! Shattered Steel is a game I've never thought I'd play. Gave it a go (thanks interplay promos) and no regrets so far.

timppu: One has to remember though it is a bit glitchy, so if it seems your laser guns go through enemies constantly (without causing damage to them), you must slow down your DOSBox a bit (CPU cycles down, Ctrl-F11 repeatedly I think) until it starts feeling you are actually hitting them. That part of the game engine seemed to rely on fixed PC speed, luckily it is so easy to change the emulated CPU speed in DOSBox so easily.
Thanks for the tip
I knew that and yep, had this issue occurring every now and then
but it's fixed now! Just googled it a bit :)

Smannesman: Sorry, but what standards?
Back when it was Good Old Games they had those
avatar
timppu: Had what? Die By The Sword? Master Of Orion 3? Blake Stone?

(I would have mentioned also Shattered Steel, but it is actually a semi-good mech-lite action game with a great soundtrack, despite what the naysayers say.)
I didn't say they were necessarily standards for good games, but they only released old games.
VR Soccer and such weren't great games, but they were old.
Now, they're releasing pretty much whatever they can and I totally agree with that.
They are running a business after all.
Also, I kind of like Die By The Sword. It's gimmicky as heck, but I had fun flailing around in single and multiplayer.

MrAlphaNumeric: I wouldn't think twice about a game with a title that retarded. For the love of.... sit down a minute and think up a proper fucking title.

timppu: "Cockpuncher" was already taken.

Yeah, until you got lost in the tunnels! :P

King's Bounty waves hello. Released on gog when it was a bit older than 2 years, so you can't call it old.

Ah but the original was released in 1990!

Smannesman: Ah but the original was released in 1990!
But GOG doesn't have the original. And from what I recall, King's Bounty: The Legend is "inspired" by the original, not a remake of it.
So no, back in 2010 GOG had released a game that was less than 3 years old. They didn't only release old games.

Fine, so they never had any standards and they're a horrible company?
Are you happy now?!
Is that what you wanted to hear?!
*sob* *sob*

The standards they have are not public knowledge, and they probably ain't the standards we have.

Yes. I dislike erroneous statements, so I try to correct them whenever I can. Making people cry isn't a goal, but a bonus ;)
I'm so old, I remember the times you could find games like that for free

And naturally, I'm OK http://derekyu.com/games.html
I can put up with a lot of insanity, but a beach in Cruces? Really?
I can't even get the game to start.

Anyone else here can't get it running?
