Champion of chitin!

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, a classic "light" RPG set in the original world of Aden, that has been besieged by the beastly minions of the demonic force known as the Darkfall, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

I can feel it. I can sense the little changes occurring in me. My breath is shorter, but i don't mind, as if my body didn't need that much oxygen anymore. My skin is slowly turning callous and stiff and it makes this creaky sound, silent but still noticeable. Strange cravings--I couldn't bring myself to eat bread, but raw meat seems more and more appetizing, and after I eat, I'm not getting hungry for days. The dreams are the strangest part. I feel someone--no, something--talking to me without any words. In those dreams I feel a part of something big. I feel like one of the many. Waking up, I feel like own body was a lonely, cold prison. But it's all right. I feel more powerful than ever. Don't mind my eyes. Yes, they don't look human. But then again, I can see the truth now, and you don't look human either, Darkfall spawn. You won't trick me. Prepare to become my dinner.

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall is a RPG-ish action-adventure game set in the world of Aden, introduced by the classic FPP dungeon-crawler, Thunderscape. This isn't a sequel though, but a completely stand-alone tale presented by different means. This time we get a top-down view, a single character, and more puzzle and combat-oriented gameplay. With the ability to morph into insect-like beasts to take on your enemies, an intriguing story, and enough in-game content to keep you busy for 40 hours, this classic title deserves to become a part of your collection of PC oldies.

Brave the strange land full of danger and mystery, and become a beast to fight beasts in Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.
Somehow I've missed this one too, but NOTHING gets me more excited than seeing another SSI game here!! Keep those coming, please, guys (and gals)...I keep hoping each release brings us closer to the Gold Box series, Dark Sun, AD&D releases (which includes the Dark Sun Series), Fantasy General, and Phantasie series.. :)

EDIT: Oh, and Steel Panther series. :)

You beauty! I had this off a badly put together compilation CD (A legit one, but very badly put together - All the setup files were intermingled and got in each others way), and whilst I got it mostly working a few times (Often enough to complete it once), it was very hit and miss to get working again.

Very creepy story for the time, a bit basic by modern standards, but still creepy... A good choice for today.
Looks interesting, hard pressed to justify getting another release this week; but, it is definitely tempting. Don't remember seeing this one during it's original release; but, then I was prepping for my college/university education at that point.
Wow, i completely forgot about this rpg. Thanks GOG.
Wow. After watching a few videos, I NEED this soundtrack. Time to start crunching numbers.
Never heard of it; looks interesting, although with all the Halloween releases, I don't need any more games right now. (In fact, with my backlog, I don't need any more RPG's right now, period.)
I was thinking about this game about a month ago. I started a new job. Once I get ahead on my student loans I have to pick this up!

SSI was such a great company. Glad to see more titles released from them.
Been looking for this game for a while:

I never got that far in it but remember it was very interesting and the music blew me away. Can't wait to play it again.

Steel Panthers is free, I doubt we will see it here. You can get it at Matrixgames.com or shrapnelgames.com.
They also sell versions of the game with added content, but the base game is free

Well, I actually meant the series. But, we have many free games here at GOG...hey, I can dream, can't I? lol
Thanks for the link and info!

Soundtrack is pretty unorthodox for 1995, this weird kinda "wild" ethnic tone.

I think the soundtrack sounds very 'Earth Day, 1995.'

I know that doesn't really make sense but yeah. Kinda reminds me of the Lion King a bit.

Nice. Haven't played this one in ages but from what I remember it's pretty awesome.
I've never heard of this but seems interesting. I will have to look into it more.
Thank you for the classic release.

Schnuff: And now i have hope for more of SSI games (Pool of Radiance).
Yes, getting a new publisher with a great backlog or getting the AD&D SSI classics should be top priority imo.
