Champion of chitin!

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, a classic "light" RPG set in the original world of Aden, that has been besieged by the beastly minions of the demonic force known as the Darkfall, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

I can feel it. I can sense the little changes occurring in me. My breath is shorter, but i don't mind, as if my body didn't need that much oxygen anymore. My skin is slowly turning callous and stiff and it makes this creaky sound, silent but still noticeable. Strange cravings--I couldn't bring myself to eat bread, but raw meat seems more and more appetizing, and after I eat, I'm not getting hungry for days. The dreams are the strangest part. I feel someone--no, something--talking to me without any words. In those dreams I feel a part of something big. I feel like one of the many. Waking up, I feel like own body was a lonely, cold prison. But it's all right. I feel more powerful than ever. Don't mind my eyes. Yes, they don't look human. But then again, I can see the truth now, and you don't look human either, Darkfall spawn. You won't trick me. Prepare to become my dinner.

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall is a RPG-ish action-adventure game set in the world of Aden, introduced by the classic FPP dungeon-crawler, Thunderscape. This isn't a sequel though, but a completely stand-alone tale presented by different means. This time we get a top-down view, a single character, and more puzzle and combat-oriented gameplay. With the ability to morph into insect-like beasts to take on your enemies, an intriguing story, and enough in-game content to keep you busy for 40 hours, this classic title deserves to become a part of your collection of PC oldies.

Brave the strange land full of danger and mystery, and become a beast to fight beasts in Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.

Crosmando: (btw GOG how hard was this to get going on modern systems, Windows 3.x games are usually horrible)
I have a boxed version and it's both, Windows 3.x and Windows 95 compatible so I guess GOG worked with the latter version. I had some minor problems with running it at Win 7 (32) but nothing a few compatibility settings cannot solve ;)
Cool, I might re-buy this.
Is this the very average game with subliminal messages?
Or was that another game by the same company?
I... I think I have vague memories of this one. Do you fight lots of wasps with your fists in the beginning?
Looks like an interesting game. wishlisted for now

Mosquitoes, actually but it's definitely this game :) Or at least I think they are mosquitoes, hard to say really. AFAIR their in-game name is Mutrizzba

EDIT: check out this video. I'm pretty sure that's the scene you are talking about

Holy crap I remember this game.
This is some awesome RPG nostalgia.
Can't wait to add it to my collection.
Thanks again GOG.
Awww come on GOG, no wallpaper? The box art with the shirtless guy transforming is awesome, like something from an 80's fiction novel cover, you can't tell me it's not wallpaper worthy

Hm, never heard of this one, but the description (and Ghorpm's review) sound(s) interesting.

Holy crap those beetles marked my childhood! I remember this game as being all The Fly-kind of body horror. It might also be one of the reasons why I hate bugs XD Apart from that I don't remember much else, so sorry to not be of much help to all who are on the fence... perhaps the unorthodox fantasy theme (you won't see any elves here) might do it for you?

Nice one GOG, you got an instabuy from me!
Bless you, GOG!

Another one straight from my history!
Great release. Love to see more SSI games here.

Endorfun, maybe? (Different company, but the names sound vaguely alike at the beginning.)

Riiiight, I always mixed those up due to the names.
Then this is the one with huts on the beach and a giant squid.
Thanks! :P
