Champion of chitin!

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, a classic "light" RPG set in the original world of Aden, that has been besieged by the beastly minions of the demonic force known as the Darkfall, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

I can feel it. I can sense the little changes occurring in me. My breath is shorter, but i don't mind, as if my body didn't need that much oxygen anymore. My skin is slowly turning callous and stiff and it makes this creaky sound, silent but still noticeable. Strange cravings--I couldn't bring myself to eat bread, but raw meat seems more and more appetizing, and after I eat, I'm not getting hungry for days. The dreams are the strangest part. I feel someone--no, something--talking to me without any words. In those dreams I feel a part of something big. I feel like one of the many. Waking up, I feel like own body was a lonely, cold prison. But it's all right. I feel more powerful than ever. Don't mind my eyes. Yes, they don't look human. But then again, I can see the truth now, and you don't look human either, Darkfall spawn. You won't trick me. Prepare to become my dinner.

Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall is a RPG-ish action-adventure game set in the world of Aden, introduced by the classic FPP dungeon-crawler, Thunderscape. This isn't a sequel though, but a completely stand-alone tale presented by different means. This time we get a top-down view, a single character, and more puzzle and combat-oriented gameplay. With the ability to morph into insect-like beasts to take on your enemies, an intriguing story, and enough in-game content to keep you busy for 40 hours, this classic title deserves to become a part of your collection of PC oldies.

Brave the strange land full of danger and mystery, and become a beast to fight beasts in Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.

That is correct. The only reason I can call myself Mr. King is because I get the first post on topics
404 here too...I bet they mixed it all up and today's release should be Wing Commander Prophecy :-P
ha ha ha, this looks awesome :D very much like Dink Smallwood! I might check it out later
I had a few issues with my reviews not appearing on a game card so I'll also post it here, perhaps it will help somebody. If you have any questions - feel free to ask.

Not the best RPG but a very original one! (rating: 4/5)

Forget about generic medieval-fantasy setting. Forget about elves, dwarfs, goblins and orcs. This time you will face Jagtera - large intelligent insects. You won't find any weapons here neither so you will be fighting either with your spells or with your bare fists or... raptorial forelegs. Yes, I really mean it! There is no XP nor a standard leveling system here. The only way you can become more powerful is by eating a nectar which will slowly turn you into a Jagtera. But that obviously comes with a price - you are slowly loosing your humanity. You can also rely on magic. There are a dozen or so different spells and the most interesting part is that you can and manually adjust how much mana you want to spend on your spell which will obviously affect its power. The game is mostly action oriented but there are some NPC interaction and puzzle parts as well (some of them are really good!). Entomorph is definitely not a perfect game (most fights are just tedious) but if you are tired of standard RPGs and crave for some novelty then it's definitely a game for you. Check it out and see how far you're willing to debase yourself! The game is rather short and can be easily finished within 5-6 hours. It's also worth to mention that the soundtrack is exceptionally good.

^_^
Nice release, wishlisted for now.
From the game card: Experience the intense, branching storyline that lasts for over 40 hours.

WHAT?!?!? 40 hours?! How come? The game can be finished withing 5-6 hours, perhaps 10 if you get every single side quest. And it's not really true, because in most cases you don't have to bother about side quests at all - you will solve them "along the way"
Ahh, i remember playing that. Not the very best but fun.
And now i have hope for more of SSI games (Pool of Radiance).

Ok then I have a the first reply plus the second post
Good stuff.

I remember being pretty annoyed by this game back in ye olde days firstly coz it lacked a DOS version (btw GOG how hard was this to get going on modern systems, Windows 3.x games are usually horrible) and secondly because making a 6-man first-person turn-based cRPG (Thunderscape) and then switching to a top-down action-RPG really pissed me off.

Good to see it here though, the fantasy setting is really unique, no Elves or Dwarves or anything. Also I liked how as you level-up you transform more and more into an insectoid monster, until towards the end you basically look like one of those aliens in Starship Troopers.
