tinyE: On the subject of what is old, and I think I mentioned this a few months ago, a kid was in my B&B, pointed to our turn table and asked me what it was.
Explain to her:

"That, is the early DJ equipment."

Lodium: My younger brother coudnt understand what the apeal was with old games.
He likes modern games like crysis and such and anything older than 3-4 years old is old to him.

One day when i was playing settlers he commented:
Why do you play that shit? it,s so pixilated i cant even see the characters/avatars properly.

Me: Why do you play your shit?
Its so fast paced that you need to be in pretty good shape hammering down your buttons on the keyboard and in addition you have some rude kids yelling insults all day long for no point whatsoever in teamspeak or whatnot.
Not all kids are like that Grandpa, I have a younger cousin who love her slow paced RPG and strategy.

Well, I'm a bit undecided on this one. I certainly love the setting as I played and loved most of the Pirates! games from Sid Meier, but I'm not a huge fan of RTS.

Can anyone comment on how important the RTS part is?

Very, but it is simple.

Let me try and best describe Corsairs for all... Think what Diablo was for ARPGs. Fast play, hack and slash, not a huge amount of deep thought, collection of new stuff. That is Corsairs to a tee. Its full of action and basically tries to be constant fun. It is not Pirates!, Cutthroat, or Port Royal, nor does it even pretend to try.

Imagine a Pirate themed stand up arcade game in the 80's, and thats your best description of Corsairs. Yes, it has some more depth than that, but not much. Its just pure bubblegum fun and it does it very well. I suggest playing with an eye patch and large feathered hat ala Basil Rathbone in Captain Blood! Extra points if you grow a pencil mu'stash!

You sold me on that last bit, I'll definitely give it a shot, thanks!
Yeah I remember playing this. It was not quite Pirates, but still pretty decent. Wishlisted for now.
I remember that in the first version of the game there was two choices: campaign mode and adventure mode. In the gold version the second one disappeared, can be possible to recover it?

We are working on that, please bear with us :)
That's a great news, I am happy to wait.
