Paint it red!

Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now, the high-speed internal organ liberation simulator full of madness and mayhem, is available on GOG.com for only $9.99.

In Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now you've got everything laid out for you right there, in the game's title. It's the armageddon--all hell breaks loose, the world is consumed by madness, fire, and violence. It's the apocalypse--everything that was reassuring about the world is collapsing around you, and no one has anything left to lose. All this is happening right NOW, and it involves cars. See? Just looking at the title you instantly understand what the game is all about. What you might not yet know, is that the sequel to the bloodiest racing game ever created, is even more outrageously fun! With 30 grueling tracks, 10 manic mission levels, and 10 stunning new environments, crazy physics engine, lots of special features drastically changing the rules on the go, and a thundering heavy metal soundtrack from Iron Maiden and Sentience, this infamous title gives you every possible reason to unleash your road rage with an outburst of maniacal laughter.

Don't be afraid of gaming-world chaos, mayhem, violence, and excessive speed.
Embrace them all in Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now, for only $9.99 on GOG.com!

To celebrate the launch, GOG.com is also hosting a giveaway of 50,000 copies of the prequel to this game--the original Carmageddon Max Pack--on social media site Reddit.com, where the developers of the Carmageddon franchise will be answering questions about Carmageddon, their recent successful Kickstarter, the new game in the series and pretty much anything else. Visit Reddit here to take part in the giveaway or ask Stainless anything, starting now!

timppu: Now that I remember, I think this GOG version might be superior to the retail CD version because at least on my PC, I preferred to disable the audio CD music tracks from playing because whenever it switched to a new CD track in-game, it would cause a rather nasty hiccup or pause to the gameplay. I found it so irritating that I eventually decided to switch off the lovely music with the retail version.

Maybe it was something on my PC/DVD-R drive only, but I presume the GOG version doesn't have the same problem as there is no physical CD to seek for tracks. I presume the music is now in mp3 or similar digital files, or does it possibly mount a music ISO file?
The music is on ogg files. According to my folder, anyway.

Anyway, thanks a lot JMich!
If my math is right I'll still be awake then, but would we have to have a reddit account? I sure hope not...
Thanks Gog. Indeed, where is Licurg?
And more importantly, is the blood red? :P
Thank you so much!!!!

This is one of my favorite games ever. I was waiting for it since GOG exists.

"Linky"!
It feels like a surprise birthday where we are all waiting in a dark room.
Licurg, speed up please ! :)
I have three copies of this on disc but I'm buying it here just to avoid all the patching I need for those. Am I to assume this is running good with GOG's 'tweek' staff? Am I also to assume that this doesn't have the Maiden soundtrack?

The songs are there in the game but not as a separate download because, come on, it's Iron Maiden. All of their music is still being sold :P

You can nab the OGGs out of the directory though, which is as good as really.
