Happily never after.
American McGee's Grimm, colorful and zany action-adventure title that comes in 23 self-contained episodes, half an hour each, and lets you "fix" all the popular fairy tales suffering from severe sweetness overdose, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $7.99 for the first week.

Once upon a time, far far away, across seven seas and seven mountains something magical happened. It was quite miraculous, but at the same time scary. Bad things happened to some people in the process, and everyone involved got what they deserved, whether it was their lost heritage, revenge, punishment, or an important lesson about how life works. The folk passed the story on by word of mouth and by the time it got here, it was full of unicorns, fairy dust, and cotton candy. Which made it pointless. Now, we can't have that, can we?

American McGee's Grimm is a unique episodic action adventure experience that lets you visit 23 popular fairytales and put them back in their dark, twisted, and meaningful shape, how they always should have been. Each of the episodes has its very own setting, a stand-alone story, mad aesthetics, and that unmistakable American McGee feel to it. You can dive into one fairy tale after another or take them on one at a time for a daily 30-minute trip to absurd, colorful, and scary land of Grimm.

Don't hate fairytales for what they've become. Fix them instead, one at the time, in American McGee's Grimm, for only $7.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off release discount offer lasts until Tuesday, November 26, at 10:59AM GMT.

I'm a bit confused, it says $5.99 here but the page says $7.99 on the store page (regularly $9.99). I think there may be a typo here, but I could be mistaken. :) Either way, the game looks friggin sweet. :D
Now tell me one thing - is it as dark, crazy and twisted as Alice? :)
Also, OP says '$5.99' while it's $9.99 discounted to $7.99 :)

For dark, crazy and twisted try the original Grimm fairy tales.
low rated
I think you guys should concentrate on older games than 2008.

Alice is by Electronic Arts. They are on board so it might be possible but not as easy as with a small/minor publisher.

I'm confused too! :)
but even 9.99 is a nice price for all episodes
thanks again gog for providing such a wonderful, fun and colorful game, fun till the end

and to think I almost re-subscribed to gametap this year just for grimm, holy crap!
Meanwhile: Goodbye Deponia launch promo can be accessed by the banner, I don't know why the newspost is missing tho.
Buy GD for $19.99 and get the two other Deponia games free with it.

Edit: now it's there

Never heard of it
I played the free episode back when it got released and it was about painting the fairytale world black. Are the other episodes different or is it just painting another story black?

I think not, that would be just silly.

I remember playing this when it came out after just upgrading my pc (which I've just replaced a few weeks ago) and it was pretty fun.

That's 20% off for the first week, which makes it $7.99. Sorry for the error.
