Saw a preview video of this last week -- absolutely GORGEOUS looking game and getting very good reviews so far.

Will definitely be buying this. You can't really beat Daedalic for adventure games. They're not only fun but they look so lovely.
Looks very lovely and something that would be nice to play, let's hope it will turn out well

rodrolliv: This is something I'd write in bold. I know it's like that on the title but people usually skip titles thinking it's just the same as what the thread topic says. Also, you should clarify if you get a gift code for the game or how it works. Just my 2 cents.
True, I didn't notice that either. But I already have Deponia, so still no incentive for me.
Oh and no, I don't understand WHY Daedalic doesn't offer the German version on GOG? It's a bloody German game made by Germans. Why the heck wouldn't German gamers be able to buy the German version? A bad decision on Daedalic's part, IMO. And I'm not even German :)

Maybe they're releasing a hard copy in Germany and want to cash in on it ?

so that they could charge the Germans more of course ;)

imagine it as if the other languages get somehow "inferior" version of the game...

They will be able to buy it, only for the double amount of cash (see above). Maybe the logic behind it is: The Germans are our biggest fanbase and our main target audience, so they will happily pay more than international customers. Kind of like the logic that Amanita Design applied with the release of Botanicula (fans pay full or only slightly discounted price and should be happy about supporting us, everyone else gets the game almost for free). I can't blame them for asking more than $20 for a new game with supposedly high production costs, but I think such decisions rather decrease the fandom of your most loyal customers.

Didn't most/all of the Daedalic Entertainment games get a German language pack at a later point on here?
Just checked, the German retail version is much, much more expensive (30€), but contains the soundtrack and a 60-minute audio book, that the gog.com version doesn't offer.

Though it's DRM-free too, I think I wait till we get the German language here - there are enough Daedalic games I haven't played yet, so it's not like I need it NAO!

Chaos on Deponia did, after the pre-order discounting was over. The Whispered World and Chains of Satinav didn't and probably won't, due to licensing issues and the agenda of their German distributors.

Oh, ok, that's good to know. But I agree, there's no harm in waiting.

No german? ;_;
This game definitely looks good. Won't preorder, though, because: (1) I already spent way too much money this month, (2) I have an insanely long wishlist, on which the Daedalic games are currently low priority, and (3) I'm trying to have some spare money available in case GOG releases something that I'll want to buy immediately.

Will try to buy it later...

EDIT: Question for the devs

Adventure games mainly rely on puzzle solving, but also on the stories they tell. Is it difficult to design puzzles in such a way that they don't end up feeling out of place within the game's setting or plot? Does using bizzare fantasy or sci-fi plot elements make it easier?

Hey does anyone here remember this old point-and-click game with animal-people? I vaguely remember seeing it played when I was younger and it freaked me the hell out
The game looks interesting, but I already own Deponia, so there is no real incentive to pre-order
Now if folks that own Deponia got a gift code to give away, that may sway pre-orders.
