With Shadow Warrior Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog bring back one of the legendary heroes of the late 1990's and make sure he's in fighting shape to take on the challenges of modern-day gaming without even breaking a sweat. Yes, Lo Wang is back in action with his faithful katana, sharp enough to slice a hair in half and hard enough to cut through rock. The game re-tells the original story of the 3D Realms fan-favorite classic, but takes some unexpected turns and explores new ideas. This is not the old and wrinkly Lo Wang we met years ago! This is the new, young, and fresh Lo Wang perfect for the new world of first-person shooters. Expect classic feeling, modern looks, and lots, and lots of badassery and gore!

Pre-order your DRM-free copy of Shadow Warrior today, on GOG.com for $33.99, and you'll receive a special GOG.com-exclusive in-game item, the classic Shadow Warrior katana, as well as Shadow Warrior Classic Complete for free!

NOTE: If you already own Shadow Warrior Classic Complete you can contact our support team for a giftable code. Please enter "Shadow Warrior Classic Code" as the topic of your support ticket.

Magmarock: I see a lot of negative comments here about how this isn't like the first or won't be as good as hard reset.

If you're on the fence about pre ordring this game, then I suggest you watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfMjYBLWlik

Total Biscuit's video on the game is what made me want to pre order it. I have high hopes for it and the fact that I can get it on GOG is great. I'm very happy to see more good looking high budget games come to GOG.

scampywiak: People have been upset that it's a reimagining. But for chrissakes it's not like they're reimagining Shakespeare here, they are dredging up an obscure IP and giving it new life. I was sold the day I heard Flying Wild Hog was at the helm. This type of game is their specialty.
Yeah true, more explorable levels would be nice, but the combat is almost guaranteed to work well.

Ancient Chinese proverb says Wang works best for those who wait.

:P
Interesting, not sure if this is a game for me. Will have to wait and see, I did appreciate TotalBiscuit's beta release review and there are definitely some things to like, but as I recall I never finished the original. Played through some levels, found it was OK, but preferred to spend my time playing other games which I still may with this new Shadow Warrior.
With the developer stance of making this into a politically correct game irked me enough to stay away from the title completely. I'm really tired of the whole "lets try and not step on any toes" culture. Soon enough, we won't be able to mention religion on games, lest we anger somebody, somewhere. I fear for that future.
Nice to see this coming here

Can we please get Hard Reset here as well?
I haven't played a FPS since Half-Life 2, but this one looks refreshingly different. Color me interested.

Dude, I can't stress this enough: FWH is not aiming to make this politically correct, they are taking a more intelligent stance on the humor. The writer for this game is straight from Witcher 2, one of the least politically correct games around. If this was a reboot from EA or Activision, I'd be concerned. But this is FWH and Devolver Digital, ie. Hard Reset and Hot line Miami...were those games inoffensive and politically correct?

I understand the jaded gamer thing, but people are not even giving this game a chance because it might not be offensive, low brow and racist enough for them...WTF?

Holy shit, I just jumped into giddy school kid mode. The original Shadow Warrior was one of my favourite games back in the day. This looks excellent! Want.
When do we get Duke Nukem Megaton and Shadow Warrior Redux on GOG goddammit!!!

And free goddammit!!! ;) (for the ones that bought the originals ;) ) (i can hope :P)
Looks certainly like fun, but I'm going to stay on my Dead Island, and as it goes for pre-order, I am going to pick new Amnesia. Sorry Wang!
From this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfMjYBLWlik
I have to say that it looks really great, certainly an improvement over their latest game (Hard Reset, which was decent).
I'll consider pre-ordering :)
I decided to pre-order after watching that game play with TB, plus the added bonus of the original game.

triple-b: What about customers who already own the classical version of shadow warrior? will they get a further discount?
avatar
Licurg: I think you get the game either way. You can trade or re-gift if you already have it.
With the new version of the store, the free game is automagically added to your account, so you don't actually get a giftable code.

We don't want to leave the people who already own Shadow Warrior Classic with a bit less attractive deal, so if you've owned SW Classic prior to your SW order, please just contact support and we'll send you a giftable SW Classic code.
