So, how was your Longest Day of Gaming? We hope it was just fantastic. Ours was cut a bit short by a raging summer thunderstorm. Bloodygoodgames: You're German. You'll love them :)

I have a philosophy that says Germans are some of the best players in the world of grand strategy games. I think that's because you're brought up to be incredibly methodical and efficient and seem to take the time to think things through, while many of the rest of us just charge in and do it :)

If I'm ever looking for a Let's Play for a strategy game I'm playing, invariably the best ones I find or always done either by a German or by someone like Quill18, a Canadian grand strategy player who really knows his stuff.

I'm from the same country as Licurg ;) And as far as strategy goes, well, it's too general, I think :)
You're not German? Well then you'll suck at it :)

And yes, you're correct. Not one drop of Thai blood here either. I think it's fascinating how Europeans get around so much :) (I'm British through and through -- or at least as far back as we've managed to trace so far, which is about 500 years :)

Nice, I find it quite interesting and cool when people are able to trace their lineage that far back. And yeah you're right, I do tend to suck at strategy games. Even cheated in Civ 4, so yeah (but I was younger then :D).
Thing is, I like history, so at least I'd like to give such games a try =)
