[url=http://www.gog.com/NoDRMSummer]2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale, day 15--let's see what's up! This is a good day for indie connoisseurs with a selection of four great independent titles available on the cheap. The other part of todays deal can also be considered indie, as Introversion Software was one of the first notable gamedev company that chose to work on their phenomenal and original titles outside the mainstream industry. Let's sum up our offer, shall we?

Our today's first deal isn't a bundle. All four featured games are available separately at 75% discount rate. You can pick FTL: Faster Than Light, the starship managerial roguelike-like sim that makes you feel like a star fleet captain, for only $2.49, King of Dragon Pass, a unique storytelling experience that fuels imagination and challenges leadership skills, for only $1.49, Zafehouse Diaries, an innovative game featuring a zombie survival horror story that writes itself as you play, for only $2.49, and Defender's Quest, an addictive mixture of tower defense and RPG set in a world shattered by mysterious disease, for only $3.74. Each and every one of them deserves to be a part of every indie game collection!

In the Introversion Originals bundle, you get Darwinia, Multiwinia, Defcon, and Uplink: Hacker Elite, which is probably the most intense, playable, and immersive computer-hacking game ever created. On GOG.com it comes bundled with a special bonus CD--be sure to check it out, you won't be disappointed! All that for only $7.16. That's whole 80% off the regular price you'd pay for those unique games.

All of the above offers last for the next 24 hours, that is until Wednesday, July 3, at 12:59PM GMT. Enjoy our #NoDRM Summer Sale, and drop by tomorrow for more massive discounts and gaming excitement!
Defender's Quest is definitely worth it. I bought it last time it was on sale and promptly sunk ~80 hours into it.

I'm not typically that into tower defense (though I do dabble with them time to time), but the RPG mechanics and great dialogue kept me coming back.
Ok I just wanted to write exactly what Nobake did. Just get Defenders Quest, its surprisingly awesome.

Pangaea666: I'm looking at it from all the people raving about it. However, what is so great about it? Would be nice with more specifics than "it's awesome, buy it" ;)

Shaolin_sKunk: IT'S AWESOME, STOP ARGUING AND BUY IT!!!!!!!!

I kid, I kid.

I used to love those old choose-your-own-adventure books. Imagine if those books had an unlimited amount of pages with all the extra options and consequences that entails.

The artwork is simply sublime, the writing is phenomenal, the lore is deep, unique, and required reading if you want to do well. The learning curve is a bit more steep than the average game, but the wonderful writing and artwork makes sticking with the game all too easy to do.

I don't know how to pin it down, honestly, it's one of those games that's hard to define but really fun to play. All I can say is it really did make me feel like a king trying to raise his clan to conquer and unite the other clans into a strong kingdom. You have to pay attention to your food stockpiles, the seasons (lest you try to conduct a raid during "winter"), alliances. Random encounters actually require some thought since very often the decision you make will come back later to haunt or reward you rather than simply being a self-contained scenario.

It's deep, engaging, and I can't say there are very many games out there that are like it. I haven't played it as much as Licurg up there, but at hundreds of hours for a buck fifty a better deal will be very hard to find.

Wish I hadn't been distracted by Wizardry 6 otherwise I could probably give you a more extensive overview.
I bought it in the end so hopefully it's good. 1.49 isn't much, so I figured it was worth a shot.
I'm debating the Introversion Originals bundle. I already own all the others, but how fun is Darwinia, Multiwinia, Defcon, or Uplink? I love strategy games, turn-based or real-time, but these games definitely do look unique. It's what's both keeping me from buying them, but also what keeps me wondering if I should invest in them.
I'm Broke! this sucks!

I recommend Zafehouse Diaries. It's a difficult game that emphasizes exploration with a simple, minimal, pen and paper style. The Zafehouse Diaries' GOG key is cheaper through Groupees' Bundle of the Undead ($1.50 minimum, with another game).
