CorranHorn: Looks like the money I was planning on using on GoG will go to HIB instead or even Steam.
Last year I bought a lot of games on GoG but this year will probably be far less unless they change the whole bundle thing. I´ve seen many bundles that has some games I´m intrested in buying but since I aldready own some of the games in the bundle I won´t buy them. I´ve aldready paid a lot for those games when I bought them the first time, no way I´m going to pay for them again just to get a 75% discount unless I´m getting a really good deal. Like Bullfrog bundle last year, that was a good deal for me, Bullfrog bundle this year is not (I own Syndicate Wars and for me Magic Carpet 2 just isn´t worth buying the game again just to get the discount).
You don't have to rebuy any games. When you go to the purchase page the games you own are greyed out and you still get the full discount for the other games to complete the bundle.

Yes I know that but that only works for games I own on GoG, not for the many games I have on physical CDs or DVDs.

Edit: But thx none the less for the info=)

Crosmando: Whatever happened to the Myst games not developed by Cyan? Why aren't they here? Do your job GOG.
avatar
CorranHorn: Ubisoft published Myst 3 and 4 and that´s probably the reason those games aren´t on GoG.
Dunno why do you think so, as Ubisoft is on GOG. O_o

Hesusio: I must say, I'm really not a fan of the Myst Pack. You have to buy the same game twice to get the 75% discount (those games being RealMyst and Myst Masterpiece Edition).
According to Wikipedia:
Unlike Myst and the Masterpiece Edition, realMyst featured free-roaming, real-time 3D graphics instead of pre-rendered stills. Weather effects like thunderstorms, sunsets, and sunrises were added to the Ages, and minor additions were made to keep the game in sync with the story of the Myst novels and sequels. The game also added a new Age called Rime, which is featured in an extended ending.
I'm not a Myst fan (I think I've played one or two but can't even remember anymore which ones), so not in a position to comment on what the actual worth of these additions are.

Have you played both?

I´ve only played some of Myst Masterpiece Edition and a demo of Real Myst. It´s like another game, the real movement makes the game even more beutiful and I think it´s worth getting if you liked the original. I certainly will when the game is at a pricepoint to my liking.

Well, that's hardly GoG's fault, isn't it?
Really, sometimes I can't stop to wonder about some people here and elsewhere on the interweb.

I already have RealMyst and no interest in Myst Masterpiece. I can't think of any reason to buy the same game again but with slightly less content.

his point is that he has to re-buy games he already owns in order to get the special discount on the games he actually wants.

I see your (fair) point, but would you consider buying RealMyst if you instead had Myst Masterpiece Edition?
RealMyst is bad graphically compared to the original. Soulless 3D graphics instead of the great prerendered stuff.

If the discount was more like 90%, than maybe. Otherwise, probably not.

Ok then, I'm just trying to see if the additions and enhancements of RealMyst are worth enough for people to rebuy.
Thanks for the reply.
