Enlist for only $13.91 or become the Avatar for only $8.94!

The 10th day of our [url=http://www.gog.com/NoDRMSummer]2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale begins! Today we offer you two very different ways to go. You can either keep it very real with one of the most accurate series of military simulators in existence, or leave this world behind and venture into the realm of imagination, high adventure, and noble deeds. Both options give you the chance to prove your skills and valor, each in its own different way. Both can keep you occupied for many weeks worth of gaming time. Take a look at the offers and choose your gaming fate carefully. Oh wait, you don't have to choose at all! With a great discount like that, why don't you just get both bundles?

From the Czech developer Bohemia Interactive comes the all-in-one Day-Z mod. Only $13.91!

Now, let's open the Complete Ultima Chest, inscribed with ancient runes vibrating with mystical power. Inside, there's a key unlocking the portal to Britannia, where you'll be known as The Avatar, defender of the land, champion of the king, hero of the folk, and protector of the knightly virtues (that's after you're done being the "Stranger" in the land of Sosaria). The first, and for many gamers--the greatest fantasy RPG saga created by Richard "Lord British" Garriott, spans over nine main games and two classic Underworld spin-offs. In this amazing package, you get them all for only $8.94!

All of the above offers last for the next 24 hours, that is until Friday, June 28, at 12:59PM GMT. Enjoy our #NoDRM Summer Sale, and be sure to check our site for the new exciting deal tomorrow! That's not all for today, though. Expect a new game release on GOG.com in a few hours.
Ok so here's what happened:

- GOG put up all of the summer sales on one day
- I bought a lot of games that day
- GOG will now repeat all of those deals and not offer me anything new

So is that it then? I bought games once and that's the end of that?

Is there even a reason to visit this site anymore during these summer sales right now if you bought everything you wanted during that one day? It's not like we get any releases either
This sale is quickly going stale, I have a bunch of games on my wishlist just waiting for a daily higher discount...

Smannesman: Well that ARMA bundle is pretty uhm.. crap?
Buy everything or nothing off?
If you liked the original ghost recon you'll love them all. They all have clunky controls and an awkward team control system BUT they all have good things about them. Great environments, deadly but fair
A.I. and an open endedness for how you'd like your team to approach a situation. I love them all but will admit they're not for everyone. The price is a bargain and all three are worth getting if you enjoyed any one of them.
Summer discounts are very exciting.

yyahoo: It was clearly stated last week that the Bohemia Interactive games would only be 50% for the first week of the sale.
Still, admit it - saving 0% when buying selected games does sound like a great deal, doesn't it? :)
Good, another day without stressing my wallet. Ultima i own and Arma is without interest for me.
Well lets see that new game and hope for a nice Friday promo.

The bundle is supposed to be the deal. In almost every single sale (with a couple exceptions yesterday with some newer indie titles), the "deal" was buying the bundle. The 50% off that you got if you didn't buy the bundle was the "regular" sale price during the summer sale. In this case, the non-bundle price is also the "regular" price, only the sale price on those titles has expired, so you simply don't get a discount. If anyone wanted those games at 50%, they had a whole week to buy them, and GOG put up a new post on the front page warning people that the sales on specific titles were going to end and specifically named which titles were included. It all seems pretty straightforward to me. {shrug}

What yyahoo says is correct. In Arma series case, we can't offer you 50% off on individual purchases, you can only grab it as a bundle at 66% off discount. I agree that "Save 0%" looks funny to say the least :-)

Phaidox's observation regarding the "save 0%" just now clicked for me. Yeah, it does look weird, but considering the how the current sales are working and how this Arma bundle promo is different from the one on Friday, it seems necessary to make completely clear that you only receive the discount if you purchase the full bundle.
So is there any point in having Arma 1 when you also get Arma 2?
Should I get the whole Ultima Collection; or is Ultima 7 at $2.99 all I really need?

1 through 3 are excruciatingly painful to play through these days. They are by modern standards terrible, terrible games. Ultima IV is the first Ultima worth a look at - And incidentally is available free. Its plot is about personal spiritual enlightenment instead of saving the world. V & VI are pretty good games, whilst VII is (I think) the father of modern RPG's, and a cracking game to boot. VIII & IX are different in style and whilst good enough don't hold up to the series very well.

...

So yes. Ultima VII is all you need, but you might want to give IV a whirl and see if you can get into the game despite its basicness.
With 75% or 80% off I'd grab the ArmA bundle. But considering I already have all of those games on disc, 66% off is not enough discount to make me spend money on a digital backup. Maybe next time.
WOw i own the Ultima chest bundle. Amazing :)

Arma ill pass on...

Thank you, that was my impression as well. I have fond memories of Ultima 6. I wish the NES edition of Quest for the Avatar was available for nostalgia.
