The first title of the Pro Pinball series to arrive on GOG.com, is a great addition to any [url=http://www.gog.com/en/search/sort/search/pinball]pinball fan's collection.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/pro_pinball_timeshock]Pro Pinball: Timeshock simulates a time travel-themed pinball table. The game is great for both the casual gamer, whose goal is usually to keep the ball rolling and get as many points as he can, as well as the pro, who can coax the ball(s) to perform certain objectives to get him more awards. A nice addition are the table's features which let the player "save" the ball, owing to an "escape hatch" in the left drain and the "magno-save" - an electromagnet in the right one. The game is surprisingly advanced, despite being over ten years old, providing life-like physics and amazing 2D visuals. Makes you wonder why we ever needed 3D graphics in the first place!
Excellent.
To play the role of a review whore a bit:
This game has received some good reviews. There are two reviews registred on Gamerankings,
8/10 from Gamespot: " Timeshock! has none of the problems of its predecessors, and may be the closest thing you'll find to real pinball on the PC ".
91/100 from PC Zone UK.
I love pinball, for some reason.
This is One of the far better Pinball games (series rather) out there.
I still want an actual machine in my lounge though :)
Might have to buy this, then...
Wow, best news *ever*. Downloading now.
I remember the times, when I was playing Timeshock on my PSX and it is really (aside Balls of Steel) the best pinball available on PC. Don't count Pinball Fantasies on Amiga, though :)
Never really see the appeal of Pinball as a video game, as I thought the attraction of the game was more tactile than anything else. Besides that, yeah it does look good, maybe its a purchase later on (after a few other acquisitions).
Never played a pinball game before. Maybe this will be the first one thanks to the good reviews I'm reading.

I find that the pinball games from DICE (yes... that DICE) were the best pinball games ever. Pinball Dreams was AMAZING. Sure, it was on an Amiga, but it doesn't matter when it's 1999 and you're like, 4 or something and there's this big box with flashy images.
But I'll buy this anyway.

Pinball Dreams was great, and Slam Tilt was awesome too. Didn't think much of Pinball Illusions though.
Oh, it seems I already have this. Bought it in a 10 game collection from Xplosiv ages ago. Reinstalled it now, and it's pretty darned good IMO. I hope the other games in the series are as good as this.

man. i remember it. it was on one of the cd's from popular polish game magazine. so much fun.
will probably get it sometime.
The game's awesome. Simple as that ;-)
A pinball? Oh man, you need to get Pinball Fantasy :-P
Ehm.
Does this pinball game consist of only one board?
And similar for the other pinball games to come from this publisher?
I'm not paying $5.99 for a single virtual pinball board.
