Because honestly I am not feeling this futuristic warffare as much as the next guy:

My problem is that well with Modern Warfare and especially World War II (Vietnam included) is that everything has a personality, The guns, The Vehicles, The Setting of War, etc. But this Future-ish warfate looks so meh just one big grey of samey looking guns, ridicoulous looking vehicles and Robots that does not have the same personallity as famous Mecha from Mechwarrior.

I remember Kar98ks, M1 Garands, AK-47s, and M1911A1's more than I'll ever remember any futurist guns :P

Ooh and its a Tactical Shooter, Sadly though its not on Steam or here and I don't use Amazon.com.

Yet.
The trailer reminds of Crysis but with the radness sucked out.

I bought that one because I loved the demo, and I had a good enough time with the full game. Reminded me of Hidden and Dangerous, which is freeware now.

That's precisely the reason I don't like realistic shooters. I just find it a bit disturbing when games replicate actual war zones, past and present. I do enjoy FPS' but I'm the complete opposite; they have to be set in a fictional environment.

Sorry - I probably sound pretentious but just thought I'd contribute an alternative view.

To balance the argument, I can play games like GTA and Saints Row, so I'm a self-confessed hypocrite.

I just realized that the better the graphics get the worse the actors look, couldn't they make a normal video of Kevin Spacey instead of using the game engine?

FWIW, buying games on Amazon is pretty easy- for example, if the DRM is Steam or Uplay, they give you a key for that game client.

They also have DRM-free games, but I've never bought one to know if they let you keep the installer; GamersGate doesn't let you keep installers despite saying "DRM-free", which is bullshit; although, there's a trick to keeping GG installers- you copy/paste the game files while the game is downloading from GG, and then you have the installer as well.

I have to disagree with you 100% here.
There is a place in my heart for guns like the Flack Cannon, The AR 2, Prey's disgusting living weapons, The BFG 1000, Bioshock's Flamethrower, Low Wang's Railgun, Serious Sam's Cannon, Unreal 2's grenade launcher and The Flamewall that real guns used to kill real people can never touch.
I am missing a good first person shooter period. I don't even care about it's setting. I want pure old school action. I don't care about a cinematic or realistic experience. I liked metro but that's just too slow. And I don't want a serious sam clone either. Just something like quake or doom or duke...

There are times I think FPS fans would have been happiest if the genre had never evolved and just kept on pumping out Doom and Quake clones Till kingdom come. Me, I'm glad things changed If the FPS genre never changed it would have died like the space sim and the vertical shooter. It seems all people want is Doom and Quake with better graphics and as there are Doom and Quake mods to improve the graphics and give new levels all I can say is why should big companies spend money on Doom clones when all that will happen is they will be called uncreative?

Besides there's Rise of the Triad 2013. Oh wait, when that came out every one complained it was too old school.

The Flak Cannon... Oh man, the Flak Cannon. My favorite weapon ever. And after that, the RipJack that someone modded into UT2004.

An assault rifle is an assault rifle, and any assault rifle in any FPS is usually pretty much like any other. They don't have "personality", for lack of a better word. A good, well designed futuristic weapon however, is something distinctive that is much easier to remember and discern from the vast clutter of samey projectile weapons. It also often requires specific skills and tactics to utilize optimally.

I loved Rise of the Triad 2013. And I don't want every shooter to be a doom clone, I would be happy with one or two of those a year. Now we get 30 call of duty clones and that's about it. And once a year a game like metro and once a year a game that thinks it's old shool but really isn't.
