C17: Are they going off sale because the steam sale stats soon?
avatar
Aver: Summer Steam sales are usually in July. Around 10th July to be exact.
Yes but the Steam Trading Cards launches this week in conjunction with an event.

"Making trading cards available to all Steam users is a step towards an event we think everyone can be excited about."

It's just a step toward this 'event'. Whatever it is.

Still I find it odd that these publishers would only want their games on sale for a week. When the promotion doesn't end until July 5th.

It's not the first time on GOG. Usually there are publishers that end their promos earlier during those very long promos on GOG. They probably just agree only for a week long promo, because they considered longer promos being bad for their business for whatever reason.

Well, one of these publishers who's newest game on GOG is 10 yrs old decided that about six months ago was a good time to double the price of their games. Wouldn't really surprise me if this particular publisher felt that selling their games at 50%, i.e. the previous normal price, for more than a week isn't in their best interest.

Note:
-- I think the price went double on all their games - if not, please feel free to correct me.
-- And by this post, I don't mean that none of their games are worth the new asking price.

EDIT: typo

Just thought I would say some games (Redneck Rampage and Lionheart I know for sure but there may be more) stayed the same price
Its basically the publisher trying to crawl away from the death that has been looming for years

Thanks for that (and I just noticed that I mispelled "feel")
Any info on how well it's working?

They lost Fallout and apparently so do we (for sale anyways) at end of the year so I don't think avoiding death is working for them

Are they going to stop selling it on GOG?

It is a possibility when the rights for Interplay to sell Fallout revert back to Bathesda.
That'd be a shame if GOG couldn't sell Fallout any longer.
Damn. Was wanting to snag those Fallout games just before the sale ended but my card isn't allowing the transaction to complete. Probably the Cyprus connection rearing its ugly head again. Guess I'm SOL.
If GOG is not able to carry the Fallout games when the rights revert back to Bathesda at the end of this year; will the Fallout games disappear from GOG altogether or will they just become disabled for new purchases while users who purchased them previously be able to re-download them?

Starmaker: Did you by any chance save those delicious game slates from the front page? I have 177 of them.
The Adhoc promo images? See this thread

So far for all the games that have been removed, purchases were disabled. Those who had already bought them could still download them, even though there have been a few hiccups with a couple of games (Chessmaster 9000).

Anyone knows if there was Wadjet Eye Games bundle and how much did it cost?
