Hi to everyone :)
As I promised you in another thread, I've realized a downloader for Windows... But, because I am a Linux user, I realized it for working also on my favourite os :)

Before you use it, I have some things to say.
1. Requirements
For runnning this application, you need two things:
- Java JRE v. 1.6 . You can find it here. This is necessary.
- wget, as this downloader uses it as downloader.
If you are a windows user, you can find it here, but I have included it in the zipped file.
If you are a Linux user, it should be already installed and already in your path. If not, install it.

2. Guide to use
- Download the zipped file here and unzip it. NOTE: you need to leave inalterated the directory structure, or the application won't work and you will need to download it again.
- Open the directory created.
If you are a windows user, you have to launch JGoGDownloader.exe
If you are a linux user, you need to make executable the JGoGDownloader.sh file, and then launch it through the terminal.
- Login, wait for the list of your game, then chose one to download by typing the corrispctive number. The downloader will downlod first the setup files, than the additional content, then the dvd covers, taken from the forum. At the end of the download, you will find all this things in the "downloads" directory. Note again that you have to leave inalterated the directory structure. WARNING: don't give anyone the "datas" directory, because it contains personal informations.

3. Help me to improve it
I haven't had a lot of time for testing it, so let me know if you find some problem using it. Contact me through this thread, specify your os and in which fase of the use of the downloader you was when the error occured. I hope there are not too many error... Better, I hope there are not errors.

4. Why a Linux user should use it?
Well, as my script works well, also thanks to the contribute of some GoG users, for now, you, Linux users, do not need to use this new application. But in future, I want to make a GUI for this application, and also improve it by adding some new functionalities, like multiple downloads and version checking. So stay tuned also on this thread.

5. Mac users
Now the downloader should work also for you :) Launch it with the JGoGDownloader.app launcher :)

6. License
This application is distribuited under WTFPL license.

Edit: if someone of you has problem with corrupteed files, read here

Edit 2: GUI realized

Edit 3: thanks to xyem, you can now grab the downloader also here :)

Is this workable for you? I don't have OSX so I can't personally test it out, but this should allow users to run wget on OSX.
:EDIT Probably help if I included a URL. http://wget.darwinports.com/

Just for that, I love you. I'm going to make a patchwork quilt out of printouts of the code. Why? Because I can to WTF I want with it.
First run, and i see your program don't like paths with spaces in it. I'll test it on a good path, but it would be cool to be fixed.

EDIT : Fails to save multipart downloads (like Psychonauts), and additionnal contents. Don't rename correctly the cover.

EDIT 2 : Problems with some characters like apostroph in King's Bounty.
the primary setup file downloads OK, but no bin files. Cover is downloaded ok, but not renamed, changed extension myself and file is good, not corrupt. No files downloaded for bin and additionnal content.

All tests made on Windows 7 x64 with Java 1.6 32 bits, UAC disabled.

Hi, don't worry about it. I used your script in the past, and really appreciate what you have done.
Don't worry, it's OK, we don't blame you, we just do bug reports ! ;)

KeitaroBaka: EDIT 2 : Problems with some characters like apostroph in King's Bounty.
I have not been able to fix this, but I made sure that the file will be saved in the right directory (before the fix, king's bonuty was not downloadable...)

Please, let me know if you find other bugs and if you appreciate it :)
please comment, so that I can improve it :)
I'll test it after work and report as soon as I can.

Windows XP SP3, Postal 2:
After the first run, it logs in just fine. I choose the option and the program thinks about it and then shows me the available files. But... the length of each component in the collection is listed as -1 bytes.

It starts with the first file, the .exe, confirms that it is -1 bytes long, and then shows a download error... tries again... ad infinitum.

Maybe this is a known problem? Or the script doesn't know about Postal 2?
Windows 7 32bit, worked fine here for downloading Rise of the Triad, will try it with one of the big multipart installer downloads tonight. Great stuff, well done.

Nothing is known to the application, everything is calcolated dinamically. do you have the same problem with other games? I don't own Postal 2, so I can't see if this problem affects everyone that tryes to download it, but I'll try to fix this problem asap. Is your connection slow?

Your new downloader downloads bonuses in folder "additional_content". The old downloader (linux) put it in "additional_contents" (plural). The new downloader just start to get all my bonuses again. Do you correct it or do we change all our folder names ? Just to know.

EDIT : King's Bounty downloads to correct folder, the display in app is wrong, but it works fine. Thank you !
