If anyone remembers this game they know there is a bug with the graphics card levels and a few other things that prevent it from being played now. I can't even get it working on an XP VM becuase of the graphics issue.

I would love to see this game come back working for everyone! Does anyone else support this idea and would support GOG to fix and launch the game? I'd even go as far to say I would pay easily $20 to have the game again.
Add it to the community wishlist.

As far as getting the game working, first GOG would need permission from the developer. Otherwise the most they can do is offer directions for mods and patches to the game. Just plug in "Industry Giant 2 patches" into your search engine and you should find some though that will allow you to play the game without waiting on GOG to bring it here, if it does.
Their patches do not work correctly and the company that produced it doesn't exist anymore :(
I spent multiple hours playing this game, too bad my installation CDs are dead and buried :-(
There is something called "Industry Giant 2 Gold Edition 2012" available in some other places, which seems to be repacked/patched game working on modern systems (including Win7 x64) and including expansion. But there are also reported some small issues (installer does not create "Save" directory, some texts in EN version are in DE, etc). I wonder if there are plans for GOG to release this gem? Would prefer to grab DRM free version with GOG-quality support preferably over any other source.

Anyway, I'd love to see Industry Giant 3 or Transport Giant 2 kickstarted...

EDIT: damn, less than 100 votes on the requested games wishlist on GOG comparing to 10000+ for the leading games, so I suppose not a chance to see IG2 in the foreseeable future, that's a pity :-(

Not exactly true. GOG has released a few games with less than 500 votes. Personally I'm still waiting for Revenant to come out. I thought this would happen after Eidos started releasing it's older games. Here's hoping.
Industry Giant 2 Gold worked fine for me on a notebook from 2005 running XP with an ATI graphics card and a German version of IG2 in a budget box.

Releases claiming compatibility up to Windows 7 (forum says I cannot post any links at this moment):
English: Industry Giant 2 Gold Edition
German: Der Industriegigant 2 Gold Edition
Both can be found on Amazon.
My copy of Industriegigant 2 seems to work fine on Win7 64-bit as well.

You might want to consider the "Nvidia Mod". Applies to ATI cards as well, but I can only find German-language links off-hand. Googling from the US may yield other results.

The game was developed internally at JoWood by the way, which isn't actually extinct - it's now part of Nordic Games, which also publishes games here.
