A new Indie Royale Lightning Pack is coming later this week. Can't wait to see what is offered. The last lightning pack was the Serious Sam Bundle. Will update post when bundle is released.
What *is* a lightning pack?.
Can't remember too many ninja themed games recently on pc...

It means that the bundle will only be available for a very short time, 24 hours or something like that.

Given that the previous lightning pack was all Serious Sam games, I wonder if Ninja is a reference to a specific developer?

Team Ninja comes to mind, but not possible. :/
According to Indie Royale faq, a lightning pack is:
The Lightning Pack is an intense, briefer offering of indie games centered around one or more developers or themes. Each Lightning Pack will last 100 hours and will not be available for pre-order.
the NINJA LIGHTNING PACK is live, and includes
*Ancients of Ooga for: windows, desura, steam (pc)
*Cloning Clyde for: windows, desura, steam (pc)
*A Kingdom for Keflings for: windows, desura (pc)

Already have Cloning Clyde, and not interested in city builder / tycoon games. That just leaves Ancients of Ooga and Band of Bugs. Are they worth the price?

I think considering the price the better question would be: Are they worth your time? ;)

I was tempted to spend a few bucks on anotehr indie bundle but franky I don't think I will play any of these or even want to add them to my collection. They don't look that interestng to me. Anyway, since you already have Cloning Clyde - did you actually play through it and like it?

Haven't even installed it yet - backlog growing far faster than I get around to playing games, especially with all these bundles....

Then I guess you're probably better off without this, too. From the reviews I scanned earlier, "Ancients of Ooga" seems to be a fairly good but not great puzzle platformer on the easier side, while "Band of Bugs" appears to be only so so (gameplay was criticized as not having much appeal for fans of turn-based strategy).
Had a look and was not interested in any of the games. sigh must be getting fussy in my old age.
Nothing interesting in the pack unfortunately.
I'll be ninja-stealhty while sneaking around and totally ignoring this Pack.
