So I had a spot on my bum, and no matter what i tried I couldn't get into a position to look at it to see if it needed squeezing. After about an hour trying I gave up, and I ended up taking a pic with my webcam on my laptop. How do I safely delete it, so nobody sees it, ever!
Honestly, just delete it and remove it from the recycle bin. If people are going to look for it beyond just that, then you probably have other problems to deal with.

Otherwise, you just use a secure delete utility that overwrites it a few time with garbage.

Hopefully you're not using an SSD or you don't have any guarantees that it will be overwritten.
nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure to be sure (sorry i was taking the piss out of an Irish friend last night)
SHIFT+DEL, then defrag your machine, should be good enough to prevent casual searches for it. If you are concerned about someone performing data recovery and finding it, then you will need a file shredder application that deletes and overwrites the drive spaces that contained the files. There are many available online for free.
Congratulations, you have ensured nobody sees the picture and that the entire GOG discussion boards know.
I already have 5 copies of the picture, people. Don't worry.
wat
Sometimes you just hope for it to be a troll.

Looking at his other threads, I'd say I don't know anything :p

That was very brave of you to post it on Facebook. My hat goes off to you.
There's a site called Instagram that permanently removes any photo and its copies from your system. Just upload it (purely so it can analyse the file in detail), and it'll automatically search your hard drive for any copies and delete them for good.

I...
Well.
All right.

Short of physically destroying the platters or degaussing the drive, your best bet is to simply make sure that all traces of the picture are deleted, including the thumbnail cache, and then completely filling up your drive with data a couple of times. It's incredibly easy to retrieve files that have been deleted unless they've been overwritten by other data. Really though, due to the density of the platters in modern hard drives, data that's been overwritten is pretty much gone forever. There's a tolerance with the needle that reads data from the platters. It doesn't always hit perfectly on the same spot every time, which is why it's possible to read old data, even if that old data was overwritten. But as drives became more and more dense (larger storage capacities), that tolerance has been lowered to the point that recovering overwritten data is practically impossible, even by the most expensive forensics equipment available.
Magnets on your harddrive.
