Emulators have brought nearly every wanted console game to computers, especially PC's and some to Mac, but for the most part, console titles, unless a PC/Mac release follows suit of a console release, or is released simultaneously, there is no such thing as an "official" computer port of a game. That said, many games these days do get PC ports that originated on consoles, though this is far from universal for every title.

Since it's obviously possible to port games to the PC and/or Mac (and even Linux) via emulator, in theory, developers/publishers could port old classics with ease from consoles.

What games am I referring to? Anything really. But what games, if they could get official ports to the PC, Mac, or Linux, would you want to see added to the internet? I'm referring to generally any digital distribution platform, but I am putting preferred emphasis on GOG. I just know that some folks aren't keen on drm-free, let alone no copy protection. With that in mind, just say what you'd like to have ported. I'm simply curious what you'd like to see added. And I'm talking official titles. If places like GOG could freely sell old games previously emulated, they'd be in a heap o' trouble! ;D

Games I'd like:

Pretty much everything.
I remember playing fanmade PC version of Silent Hill 1, it was perfectly emulated, came with custom installer and control presets, it was polished like a straight up PC game. I finished it, even, and then played SH 2/3, which got official PC versions finally.

It would be nice if game companies decided to stop being fucking stupid, and used emulators to provide their games with official forever functionality. Because almost nobody has PS1/2/old console these days to play old games, most consoles are not backwards compatible, the only machine that can handle almost everything is PC...so companies should use it and put their back catalogues up for sale to be available through emulators.
Maybe GOG could try to convince them, slowly, surely :-)
My top choices would have to be Suikoden 3, Xenogears, Valkyrie Profile, Super Metroid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Star Fox 64, Shadow of the Colossus, Skies of Arcadia, SoulCalibur, and Final Fantasy Tactics. There's tons more, but I don't feel like writing them all. :)
Emulating!=porting.

That said, I'm assuming this topic isn't meant to be that grounded in reality so it probably doesn't matter.

I'd love to see PC releases of Nintendo's Virtual Console library so I can legitimately own some SNES ROMs. >_>
Shining Force series, the Shadowrun games, Snatcher...
Valkyria Chronicles, MGS 3 Subsistence, Bayonetta

Got those already, and also on the Genesis, but I want the others too. Especially episode 2 and 3 of Shining Force 3.

Yes, would be nice with an anthology on PC.
Allot of old Nintendo games. Why Nintendo doesn't give the Wii U or the DS a vast digital library of past games I don't understand, but it would be nice to see some on here or elsewhere. Super Metroid, Jurassic Park & part 2, Maximum Carnage, JetForce Gemini, theres plenty of Snes & 64 titles I'd like to try again.
I'd also like to see some Playstation games like Final Fantasy 8, Dino Crisis 1 & 2 on here, I think some have pc releases already but not from where I'd like to get them.

Yep, would be willing to pay quite a bit for that.
Jade Cocoon from the PS1

Seriously fantastic game in all aspects and it would be fantastic to see it re-released in port to PC done well.,
Intriguing topic idea...

I think I'd want to see an official PC port of Star Wars: The Masters of Teras Kasi, the much-maligned Star Wars fighting game from the Playstation 1, with all the issues mostly ironed out and given the full HD treatment. But, seeing as I am one of the very very few who actually enjoyed that game, I don't see that ever happening.
Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen

SCPM: Super Metroid
Probably will never happen for as long as console manufacturers have a say in the matter, but yeah, that's one title I'd play again on the PC.

I greatly enjoyed it and it's been well over a decade now since I played it.
