I do find it depressing that a GOG announcement of PR in the forums goes unnoticed for so long. Especially since people complain that you don't post here.

You know, the chance to work for GOG does make me wonder if perhaps I made a mistake in my career choice. Nice to see GOG is doing well enough to be expanding.

Is there any chance for a video of TET's seminar to be published afterwards?

Social Sciences. More precisely, the EU from a politics/polity side of things (with a dash of policies mixed in-between). Don't get me wrong, a very interesting field, regardless of all the current talk about it and I enjoy my work on it very much.

However, GOG for me represents the type of company that many should aspire to and its work is for a computer enthusiast like myself the hot-spring from which greater things will arise.

I may be on the right career but I'm no good with either technology those positions use so I feel like I made a mistake as well.
Also being born on another continent is a really big mistake. I have zero hopes of attending GDC. :(

The idea of moving from Finland to the warm and tropical Warsaw sounds alluring (even so much I would be ready to maybe halve my salary from the current one)... but I presume they are looking for young guns half my age. :)

And maybe I am still hoping a miracle to happen and some expat position in e.g. SE Asia opens up from my current employer, which I could use. :) But I presume I am not the only one with such wishes. There are probably more positions open at Antarctica than in SE Asia.

So what is GOG plotting? The web developer job ads provide no valuable information, but for the software developers:

Technical knowledge of popular operating systems: Windows, Mac OS X, Linux.

Proficiency in C++ with proven experience
Knowledge of distributed systems

Experience in implementing client-server / cloud solutions into apps or games.
Knowledge of as many of the following as possible: multiplayer services in games, voip

Experience in multi-platform development.
Experience in developing rich desktop applications heavily oriented on excellent UX.
Technical knowledge of popular operating systems: Windows, Mac OS X, Linux.

GOG client confirmed
The Linux requirement could mean everything: Linux games, streaming of Games to the desktop, Linux servers...

That they seem to use C++ for a cross platform client is more interesting.
