Join Larian and GOG.com in a live video chat!

We're preparing to launch pre-orders on the new, original, and exciting title: Divinity: Dragon Commander from Larian Studios, the creators of Divinity RPG series. It's a real-time strategy game with quite a unique concept, so we thought it would be nice to have a little Q&A with the developer team to shed some more light on their one-of-a-kind idea. After all, you don't see dragons on jetpacks commanding armies of soldiers, beasts, and flying machines into battle in every other game, now do you?

The video chat will start tomorrow, one hour before the planned pre-orders launch--that's Wednesday, April 10, at 2:00PM GMT (16:00 Warsaw time), and there's a bunch of ways you can see us talking to Larian and participate. We know that we said we'd be hosting it on our G+ page, but due for a better stream we've moved it over to Larian's Twitch.tv page at www.twitch.tv/larianstudios. Or you can simply watch it right here on this page--we will embed it below for you. If you miss the show, don't worry--a recording should be available as soon as it ends. Don't miss it, though, because we have a special gift for everyone who watches the show.

If you have any questions for Larian you can submit them in here, in our forums or tweet them at us with the <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23DragonCommander&src=hash">#DragonCommander hashtag. We'll select the most interesting questions and throw it at the devs in our live chat, so they won't be able to dodge them. As usual, we'll award the authors of the best questions with some free game bonus codes.

EDIT: Thank you for attending our live Q&A session! In case you missed it, or simply would like to see it again, here's a recording on YouTube:
All aboard the hype train! Can't wait for this! I really appreciate GOG offering to distribute this game :)
It's a good time for the event after Divinity: Original Sin got funded today on kickstarter. :)
Honestly i'm MUCH more excited for their upcoming RPG. Though i'm not much of a strategy fan so that could be it.
Question - Why did you decide for a mix of genres in this game? Why not pure RTS?
Question - What will the different fractions / clans / races available to play as be from the Divinity universe?
Question: are there any non-RPG genres you've considered for a Divinity game, then rejected? (If a combined RTS and flight combat game is on the cards, what couldn't be?)

Question (DOS): will the interaction between the 2 avatars be limited to discussing quests or storyline events or can they talk to each other at will?

As some rpgs offer romance paths, it would be awkard to try to romance yourself in single player mode.

No it wouldn't :)
QUESTION
=========
It might sound like a silly question, but I really loved Divinity II's ability to engage in virtual BASE jumping -- the ability to jump from ridiculously great heights (without a parachute and without getting hurt).

Will this be available in Divinity Dragon Commander too? Will it be useful in some way?
Question to GOG- When will the survey results be released?
Question: How do research and upgrades function? What aspects of the game -- such as ship, units, player character -- are affected and what are some examples?

I hope more developers would follow Larian Studios footstep in releasing their game DRM-free.

Anyway, I saw some questions already addressed for Divinity: Original Sin game. Isn't the video chat will be only for Dragon Commander ? or we can also ask about Original Sin ?

Question about Dragon Commander :
1. I have read the preview, and it says combination of game genres. How do you guys balance these various game elements in the game and make sure that strategy is still the main/dominant element ?

2. I also read that it is possible in the end, that the battle narrowed down to dragon vs dragon -because of all the resources depleted. Which also make the game become more on action/shooting element. (which is interesting). But, the question is: would not the stronger dragon always win in that situation ? or are there game elements that make weaker dragon possible to win in dragon head-to-head battle ?
