King Arthur's round table had 12 knights, there are normally twelve pairs of ribs in the human body, twelve people have walked on the moon, and GOG.com has gifted twelve million dollars worth of games for absolutely zilch.

If you were asked what’s so special about your favorite digital distributor with a difference, you would probably mention DRM-free quality games, Fair Pricing, and Customer Love, but also the freebies. And not only the soundtracks, wallpapers, avatars, original game manuals “and et cetera” but also the six games we’re giving away to our users for signing up: , [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/beneath_a_steel_sky]Beneath a Steel Sky, Tyrian 2000, Ultima IV, Lure of the Temptress, and . In addition to that, the world-famous Gee, Oh, and Gee, followed by straightforward dot-com has had great impressive give-aways of great games like [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/jagged_alliance_deadly_games]Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, Broken Sword: Director’s Cut, or Empire Earth.

From the day of our launch we’ve given away approximately 888 trillion 228 billion 596 million 940 thousand and 800 bytes of gaming on the GOG.com house, which, as you can easily calculate, is equal to more than 12 million dollars’ worth of games that we’ve handed out simply for love of our gamers.

To properly celebrate, we needed something special! We ran out of walruses to give our users and our GOG.com time-travel feature is still in beta, so we went for the the third best thing: another free game, namely the fantastic free-roaming adventure platformer Treasure Adventure Game is a huge, open-world, platform adventure game and you can download it right now.

So stay tuned and enjoy your free game!

BJWanlund: Am I the first one to notice this??

Fred_DM: no dude, but an announcement for an announcement tends not to excite most folks anymore... wake me up on Tuesday, will you?
I, for one, have been disappointed in the sheer lack of iterations in the GOG announcement process. Most announcements only get one announcement of their own, which is sad. There needs to be at least two to three layers of announcement buffers to really sustain the system.

In other words, WE NEED TO GO DEEPER.
I have dl it and installed it, it is a fun game but the setup is mixed up cant get my joypad too work.

It would be interesting to see the value of all of the free games given away in the forums. That's got to be an impressive figure as well due to the generous community here.

Keep it up, GOG. I would also like to see the releases happen at a faster clip. However, it's not really necessary for me seeing as how I am unable to purchase (let alone play!) all of the games that I want that have already been released.
Well we already know they are going to add Battle Realms to their collection which i can't wait for.

No idea what else is to come though.
Thanks GOG

Keep up the excellent work.

Cool! The first new freebie I see being here (too bad I missed out on those Empire Earth/Boken Sword ones).
Keep up the good work. It's a pleasure to buy stuff from you, dear GOG team.
I hope it will stay that way. :)
Greetings!
Um, I don't know how you can give away $12 million worth of freeware.

I'll accept Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, Broken Sword: Director’s Cut, and Empire Earth since those are still commercial games. But Tyrian, Ultima IV, and Beneath a Steel Sky? Those have been freeware for years before GOG came along!

That's like if Project Gutenberg claimed to give away for free billions of dollars of books that have been in the public domain for decades.

serpantino: As for common sense, they did have Spellforce 2 & it's expansions for a while, those are pretty new games, certainly not old games, and the kind of thing I expected....
"Did"? What happened to them? I still see them listed on GOG catalog (Spellforce 2, and the only expansion (not expansions) that was ever released for it.

I think it is kinda futile to argue what games GOG should release. We already know everyone wants them to release System Shock 2, but unfortunately it is not only up to GOG. I'm sure they'd love to release Mass Effect 3 Gold Edition next week.
