We're giving away 100 games a day to our users to celebrate our 5th birthday!

For the last 5 years we've been doing our best to bring the best games in history to your home computers. Now, we're celebrating our birthday, and we want you--our users--to have a blast! This is the final day of our 100 games giveaway, but don't fret! There's more birthday excitement to come and there will be more awesome prizes to win. Today, we invite you to our Facebook profile. We know that some of you are skeptical about social media, and we're not going to try and convince you to change your views. If you, however, enjoy Facebook, but never got around to following our page there, we highly recommend that you do so. Or maybe you have gamer friends, who you think might enjoy GOG.com? Invite them as well. It will be well worth it, as our fanpage is about to witness some very exciting events.

But we're here today mostly to give away some games, so let's get to it! All you need to do to enter the draw is to like THIS STATUS UPDATE on our profile. Out of all the people who do this, we'll pick 100 users who will be sent a $9.99 gift-code via Facebook PM. You have time until Tuesday, October 8, at 9:59AM GMT to enter.

EDIT:
Have you participated in one of our 5th birthday contests, but are still waiting for its conclusion? We're a bit overwhelmed by the number of entries, as this is the ongoing biggest series of giveaways in the whole of GOG.com history. Please be patient, well sort it all out, eventually, and everyone who was lucky enough to win something will be notified. Sorry for the delay!
So I've been a fan of GOG's Facebook page for a long time, and I have posted on Facebook when GOG has some awesome sale or gives away something for free (Torchlight). But I still only have 1 friend who is a fan of GOG on Facebook. What gives? If I had my way Steam would go extinct and GOG would be the world's #1 online digital distributor of games.
I have to say, I don't really like the fact that simply liking something on Facebook gets you the same ods for the same prize as spending some/a lot of time on solving the crossword puzzle. I know it wasn't exactly brain surgery, but still...

Then again I do hate all the "social network" stuff, co maybe I'm just biased.
First i'd like to thank gog for making these events and loving their fans and customers in general.
However, a few days ago facebook tried to extort my personal ID from me by disabling my account and reactivating it only if i present my government issued ID, so after several years of using facebook without any problems i decided i will ignore the facebook harassment and i won't use this service anymore, and therefore i'm sorry to say that i won't be able to join this event but nevertheless i wish gog happy birthday and i once again thank gog for making these events and other stuff. :)

amok: Again - not going to spam friends.
They aren't asking you to SHARE it - just like it - sheesh :-( My thinking is that the more peeps join GOG, buy games and support GOG, the better off we all are and social media is one way to do that exact thing ;-) I'd really like GOG to be here another five years, wouldn't you?
Being the social media pleb I am (unlike the glorious loner master race here :P), I liked it and spammed the Humongous Entertainment support thread in a comment.

Actually you have far better odds on the Crosswords and such. Things that involve more effort will by necessity have far fewer entries than clicking a single button. So odds of 100 winners in a Facebook Contest of say 3000 entries will be a lot lower than something like 100 winners in a challenging crossword with only maybe 700 entries.*

*Note: numbers completely pulled out of my ass.

That's why with these sites you stay in the shadows, not attracting any attention with your actions/use of it and not ever having anything to 'lose'. :>
GOG, Happy 5th Birthday & thank you very much for offering a multitude of DRM free games at very low prices.

Believe it or not I won a free giveaway contest once on Facebook. Last spring I won from Propper tactical clothing a pair of STL I Pants and a Grip Tee.
Thanks GOG for the week of giveaways. I hope that wasnt a typo about ending till Tuesday because that a pretty long stretch. Odds of winning will be like 1:10,000

BTW, anyone gotten any prize yet?

Yeah, I got a $5.99 game a couple days ago from the Quiz. I'll probably pass on entering the facebook contest though

Thanks for sharing. It's good to know GOG is not so overwhelmed. I dislike waiting for results. ; D

I didn't attract anything, i didn't even check facebook very often and i only had like 20 contacts there because i felt weird about putting every person i know by name into my "friends" directory. And i very rarely posted stuff on my profile.
