ViolatorX was originally played by Theiv, so his multiple appearances as mafia shouldn't enter into it. And you N Millar were originally played by GhostQlyph, who is I believe an experienced player?

Ive only started one game #5 and was mafia in that as I always seem to miss the signup threads due to work/other things requiring my attention

Ive been sub 3 times mafia(replaced enterprise) in #4 town(teleroth) in #6 and #7(thiev)

And I suspect robbe as mafia in the 3 experienced players in the and nmillar somewhere in the middle, zch is getting the closest town reading....

As for the new players I cant see ovoon or silverfire due to their lack of talking as if I was their partner I would have screamed at them to be more productive as its tough being alone see game 4. But I do suspect the lack of kill could be because of that.... But even im finding it hard to talk when theres only 13 posts in 3 days since my last post..... For you guys try and focus on 1 person or expand on who you think could be working as a team, yes your finding it hard but with less opinions on board us as the town is more likely to lose....

That's not the point; if we identify one mafia member, then we immediately know that the 3 others in that sub-set are innocent.

The reason I'm being suspected by everyone is because I can't ever think of anything to say. I stink at this game. :|

It gets easier - and don't worry , everyone seems to suspect me, and I think I've been one of the most proactive at trying to keep the game moving and theorising, to draw out the scum!!
Sometimes it would appear a happy medium is needed to avoid the suspicious among us - plus of course Mafia types will go for the more proactive players early , to get rid of them - much more dangerous than the quiet ones..

Anyway back to the game - @Joe - another one saying because i defend myself 'expansively' it looks suspicious....surely I will do all I can to defend myself?? What would you prefer? A one line 'it ain't me!'/.....

And the exclamations - i often do that anyways, its not particular to this game.

And now of course I'm caught in that vicious circle - every time i defend myself from further accusations, people think 'aha - hes defending himself again, must be Mafia' and attack me again, meaning I defend myself, and so on and so on. Its a good move from whoever is Mafia - so I have to look at who started it.

violatorX did - and I voted for him because I dont think the reasoning was sound at all - and still dont. But, looking at voting pattern since then, nmillar was quick to back the 'newbie+experienced' line, but zchinque has dived in there with both feet.

I think violatorx starting the attack wasn't necessarily a Mafia move, its towns interests to throw theories out there. But I DO think the Mafia have seen it and thought it would be a nice way to get rid of en experienced player early doors.

Well playing the game is predominantly writing "I think something this person has done might mean something because..." and, as you have often taught, giving people some form of stimulus to force a reaction from them: Not every suspicion is worth pursuing and not every accusation is made with vigour. When you seem intensely averse to having someone doubt the motivation behind your action, you seem to be disallowing that person the right to be suspicious of you.

And, not every defensive statement you make appears sound. You haven't simply disputed the logic of the offense, you have drawn upon new, shakier logic. In example; "those who question me are likely the mafia".

People put out the smallest of suspicions in an attempt to get a rise out of people, and they get a rise out of you.

I don't think that indicates you are playing a badguy. I think this topic of discussion is just distracting us from lynching Ovoon. My advise is this, allow people some petty suspicions. Question those that defy sense, or seem to pose a great threat.
