Okay, so I just noticed something.

The forum isn't showing me forums with unread posts properly. Usually, bright white == unread posts and greyed out == no unread posts but my give-away threads are getting new posts but they remain "dimmed".

I think this might explain why unedited posts are showing up as edited. The forum is broken >.<

I've noticed the opposite. I'll be reading a thread, then click on 'General discussion' to return to the forum index; the thread I was just reading shows up as white (new posts), so I click on it again, but there's nothing new ...

To add to the confusion, I've had both happening to me....GoG need to look at their software methinks.

Might be an idea to check any Mafia Game thread you are in anyway, regardless of what colour it may be...;o)

Nothing happening in three days isn't going to give the people who haven't voted much to go on. The only other option is to start up one of those infamous band wagons and get rid of a random player. I'm a little worried about losing a power role.

Anyway, I think I need to do a reread of the game. I don't really have anything to kickstart discussion with at this point in time.

It was a defense my friend had once when we were playing mafia with a deck of cards once. Although they did lynch him after he said that... Maybe that was a bad idea.

Wow its been that long already.. This game is harder to read than all the others, I can see why you came out and prodded people, The holes I used in your arguement I just cant work our wether your backtracking after feeling youve lost the arguement or was just a legit attempt to generate some life into this rather drab day... Im also concerned about how the other two just brushed off your accusation.

But its a good reason to write what you did, due to the lack of being able to gain anything from the other field my vote is staying as it is.. my reasoning seems flawed but its the gut feeling that perhaps you are, I feel it more difficult to justify the hes lurking he must be mafia arguement as maybe some of the newer players dont want to be fed to the pirhanas if they slip.

I feel the basicness setup of the newbie game is flawed, we know the roles but none of them are really informative for the town and have to use more guessing than anything else....

I find the ovoon chewing on socks comment to be the same territory in which I voted for gamerager was it does nothing benificial to say something like that... but Ive already contributed to one failed lynch based on that so Im going to keep my vote where it is...

Something about xyems post in 156 seems to make me think he may be the other scum member, the he deserved it but we lost someone talk and then wants all our opinions yet but that 170 sounds like an innocent newbie town question but on reflection could just be a way to shroud himself fos xyem

Nmillar is currently swinging either way and that still hasnt changed he appears town in theory and scum in actions(usual story)

Ovoon and silver i dont feel have contributed enough for me to form an accurrate opinion. Maybe do a full player read list or at least give us your opinion on the two players you believe/have a hunch to be scum

As to 'lurking= must be Mafia' - I'm in agreement with you here, it is more than likely newbies are being cautious, but it can only go on so long - if we leave them without applying any pressure at all they get a free ride. It's our duty as town to involve everyone and try to get people posting, whether they be newbie or experienced! What if one of the newbies IS Mafia? Your reasoning has just given them a free ride deep into the game.

No harm can be got by drawing them into the game. Voting for Ovoon for example is to draw responses from him. I don't necessarily think he is Mafia, but its the only weapon we have. We have had a response and it is a very odd one, so go figure.

This reasoning of yours is worrying me - do you know something we dont? You trying to get people to leave off the newbies because one of them is your little scumbuddy? eh? eh???

Plus you akcnowledge my reasoning and defence yet leave your vote where it is anyway.....

No wonder no-one is trying to get the discussion going. If you do, you are immediately suspected? Not only would that be stupid if I were scum because the discussion would draw attention to me, but reacting in the way you did is suspicious in itself. Trying to prevent the talk so the lynch is as random as possible i.e. favours the mafia's odds?

Agreed. And with the strange responses to my defence of myself, acknowledging it as sound then leaving the vote anyway, prompts me to do this

I want to compile all that I've said so far into one text, but that would take a lot of effort and I'd misquote myself and end up looking shifty or something terrible so this "read of everybody" seems like the next best thing.

Ovoon- Infrequent posting slows the game down. Has claimed suspicion and voted (for me) without giving a reason. Defended lurking. I would vote for this man with intent to lynch.

Rob- I've noticed he's always quick to defend himself which I'm not sure about. He's taking a teacherly role in this game, and he has an air of "the voice of logic" about his missives. He's hard to disagree with, which makes me wary, but I have no reason to suspect him.

Silver Fire- Posts little. I would vote for him.

ZChinique- Does not appear averse to getting into the game, and drawing a bit of attention. Posts slightly infrequently... seems alright but again, has a comfortable style which may be disarming so I don't want to let my guard down too much.

Xyem- Competant, but often absent. I've had reason to suspect him in the past, but I can't remember what that was now so likely it was tenuous. I would vote, but maybe I would try to avoid lynching him. So then I shouldn't really vote should I?

ViolatorX- Has some wild theories. Often difficult to see the logic. Current affairs is that he misrepresented Xyem. Seems okay overall.

N Millar- Plays boldly; suspiciously. Easy to suspect. I say he deserves lynching for killing Game Rager. I would vote to lynch.

JoeSapphire- Stand up guy, won't hear a word against him.

Now I'm starting to feel pangs of impatience. Is there anyone else who has a fancy to see another night and try and get some more information for the power roles (and risk a nightkill)? Purely because it seems fairer than starting a band wagon/ joining a band wagon/starting a band wagon, then joining it, I unvote Ovoon and Vote Nolynch.

I suggest everybody else votes (as they see fit; your vote is your own); we've started to dither and shrug and now is the time for decisive, fearless play! Think "what would N Millar do?" then imagine doing something a few units less reckless and do that.
