flubbucket: Coffee and Donuts, you must be a narc.
I do love donuts, but I don't like coffee. Prefer some hot chocolate or a milkshake :)

Never drank coffee, never will. I don't even know how the thing tastes like.

Well if you're good I'll bring you a milkshake.

And if your REAL good, I'll bring my friend.

Screw the milkshake! Bring just the friend.

HijacK: This guy posted so little that I didn't even notice his existence. LOL
So just like the children at real high school then. Fantastic, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for making me feel wanted.

I must stress, however, that I find it a little absurd that I am one of the more 'lurky' players because I haven't posted for a day, in a game that has been running for three days (and only two days of run time when the accusations were made). I think that it's too early to start trotting out the inactivity argument. You lot haven't been in one of Gog's properly interminable, two posts a week games, though, so I'll forgive.

Moving on, I must say that I find HijacK's assertion that, "You cannot be trusted. Did you know someone in this group of students is a hippie? I knew, apparently you don't." which he used in reference to, I'm assuming, both dedoporno and mrkgnao (post 75). While I can forgive him for bringing up bullies, as I feel that this is a fairly logical deduction to make from the flavour given, but saying that there is a hippie in the group is just odd.

What would you deem a fan?? Now if you looking to slip something into my drink, I have my nail polish to keep me safe.

As cute as I am I often get the stalkers and those rape-y second glances.

But I'm always up for a party. WOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!

adaliabooks: I was just wondering that myself. I presume there's no hard and fast rule about player ratios then?
Recommended ratio is 25%. That means that in a 12 players game, we are looking at 3 scum.
There are of course roles that may move the ratio towards either side, like or [url=http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Lovers]lovers. But unless there's reason to suspect otherwise, 25% is the ratio of scum to assume.

You do realize this game has more roles than just the basic mafia game right? I'm sure somewhere in the Sign-up thread this has already been discussed.

JMich: lovers.
Hah, if you ask me, that can be easily be used in favor of the scum in a town-scum pair.

I'm also with CSPVG here - people definitely have a different perception of what is 'lurking' and what isn't.

For the record - IRL I have a 9 to 5 job, so can only post sporadically , usually lunchtime, like today. In the evenings I am not near a computer like I used to be a few months back (change of location) so can't post as much as I used to. Thats not lurking, thats just a fact of life at the moment.
I will TRY to get to a computer most nights and post, but in general I will be posting only a couple of times a day. Be assured though that I do read what is posted every day. Should a wagon be formed on me, give me time to respond please! - ifor town this is a given, the Scum will be more likely to try and pile in quickly, so keep that in mind should I suddenly get a speed lynch wagon going on my ass!

So - as for the game so far, not a whole lot of serious posting going on. Loads of RVS, and loads of inconsequential stuff. To all those that are 'Active' - do you think that posting loads of joke posts or posts complaining about others not posting is a good indicator of Activeness, or something Scum would do just to try and get a reaction from someone?

Or is it just that nothing has happened yet , so posts about nothing are still acceptable?

Nah, I know them well. We drink whiskey on Fridays, cognac on Saturdays and rum on Sundays.
Seems my analysis may have hit a few raw nerves... interesting... *puts on his deer stalker and puffs on his pipe*

I'm just clutching at straws due to the general lack of information available in this round to base a lynch on.

It was most unfortunate in that by the time I really had it right we were close to a curse being put on us and a lunch wagon was already on amok. Once amok was lynched and Sage was Night killed me and RWarehall were in trouble as the only other townie was someone who had disappeared. Being my first mafia game I thought it was still fun even though we lost. I see now that we moved at a decidedly faster pace than is normal too, will have to adjust to that.
