amok: ................................

I do wonder if our mod have any rules against posting in aliases in race chat?
Clearly not.

The quicktopic I'm in has had, including the mod, 18 different aliases used to post and only five are possibly true players/mod names. I have more to say but I'll keep mum.

I'm not complaining at all, but you can see there could be room for corn-fusion.

flubbucket: I'm not complaining at all, but you can see there could be room for corn-fusion.
The important thing being : how much of this confusion is obligatory, how much is instrumentalized or deliberately generated for the benefit of whom.

Usually, the scum side (benefits from and) aims at confusion, and the town side at clarification. So, why has there been no investigation on this ?
avatar
Ixamyakxim: But what I do know is that Darko clearly implied he had knowledge of a "race" chat AND a "faction" chat (in light of what's happend so far, CULT).
Flubbucket-level BS reached. Congrats on your achievement.
I never implied having knowledge of anything. If I had such knowledge while being town I would outright say it. If I was cult I most definitely wouldn't imply I'm cult.

avatar
Ixamyakxim: And when he was called on his knowledge, this is how he responded...
And since you're sticking to that BS instead of answering what exactly was so direct about flub that opened your eyes to the meaning of life in the universe, it's the same way I'll be acting towards you from now on.

Krypsyn: So, Darko, what did you mean in post 252 where you wrote:
I have my own interpretation, but I would like to see yours, if you don't mind.
Exactly what I typed. This post covers my thoughts on the matter.

tl:dr: Why would an experienced player shout the obvious? Is he not stating the obvious and implyig he has multiple faction chats instead? But reading flub's recent posts, he now claims it was scenario #1.

avatar
flubbucket: DarkoD13's post #94 states clearly we will learn things about our teammates and such in our respective faction chats. Also be careful of infiltration.
Not knowing everyone had these things (chat rooms) flubbucket makes a comment about having a space with others where he knows others. I call them masons, JMich says neighbors, I then say that's a better name due to mafia wiki description. Other people chime in with reasons dubious.......chaos ensues
I'm keeping my vote the same. I don't like Ixamyakxim's almost neophyte devotion to him.

Careful with your misquotes there puddin'. Too many assumptions are what got us into this misunderstanding.

No where in the OP does it state we all have Quick topics where we will blah blah blah. Rule #11 does leave room for interpretation with the word "may" does it not??

Your raging seems out of place.

LOL.
Well you see my point. If you read it without your angry panties on it makes some sense. When JMich put in his two cents.

I then concurred and it was a simple matter...until it became the topic of the day.
Guh, last page got me totally confused.

How come you can't communicate in racial chat?
And how can flub confirm it and also say some chose not to share identity? How could other share them if they can't communicate?
This is way above my intellect.

My guess - he is psychic?

Or are you talking about the "race/faction" wording? I had used the word "race" chat before, but given that flub was talking about a mason faction at some point, I used them both in order to be explicit and maybe communicate with flub.
Flub, can you answer ?

What do you mean with "No one can answer a question directly" ?

Is there a posting restriction ?

a) In your group's chat ?

b) In this very thread ?

c) Imposed on all the members of your species ?

Can someone explain this ?
avatar
01kipper: To clarify: "My race are unable to speak directly to one another in racial chat".

.......................
avatar
flubbucket: This.
That does nothing to define the number of folks that are anonymous. I was just wondering how you knew there is more than one anonymous person, since they are, you know, anonymous. :)

Oh, nevermind, you answered it two posts later with:

avatar
flubbucket: In our chat I've been talking openly and so others have used variants of my name ...in the beginning. Afterwards, a couple used real names to log thoughts but we were still restricted from speaking or addressing each other directly. With so many pseudonym floating around it's been hard to know how many are actually in our group.

No one can answer a question directly so surely you can see the conundrum.
I see. But, how do you know that one person isn't using several names to confuse matters? Or two people using the same name?

avatar
P1na: Anyway, my "chat" is a quicktopic (like the dead threads I've seen until now always were) and people found it funny to post under aliases. I have revealed my name in there, but others have not, therefore flub's point of "they know me but I don't know them" is not particularly strange.
Interesting... and annoying.

Exactly how I interpreted it. However, Ixamyakxim seemed to interpret it such that you were confirming knowledge of two different chats. So, I figured I would just feed it back to you as an open ended question to get the clarification. Thanks.

Yes we have a restriction.

We can not speak to each other directly in our Quick topic.

It is a restriction.

I'm guessing that is why at first some were skittish. I saw no reason to avoid taking the plunge and use my real name. I then started sort of blogging if you will. Technically I wasn't speaking directly to my team and A_Future_Pdiddy didn't stop it, so off I went. Others followed in a fashion, some silly and some more serious.

This thread has no restrictions for us other than what has been stated in the beginning.

All the members of your species, if I assume correctly ?

Yes WE ALL have a restriction.

I have not read everyone's PM but I'm willing to take this MASSIVE leap of faith....
