amok's gone fishin'
Firstly, I meant, "woke me up four times for," and boy is not sleeping a fun thing.

As for how we see the game and its factional layout and scum presence: I pretty much see it as cmdr_flashheart does, with four races, each containing members of the scum team. Since there are seventeen of us, there should be what, five scum?

In there somewhere I believe there will be a neutral or two of some sort, but I do find one of cmdr_flashheart's assertions interesting. He says that," Lastly, the private chat rooms let faction members talk amongst themselves, with the caveat that there may be scum within the faction."

This would mean we're playing a sort of monks and masons game, wouldn't it? Expect, we're dealing with (I would assume) only one group of scum and four groups of masons. I'm not sure if I think this is the case, but it does sound plausible.

I also feel that I should say Vote: alisarabi for, as far as I can tell, not checking in yet.

Could we have a vote count, A_Future_Pilot?

amok: More or less what I am thinking, but with the difference that I think the Elroy's are not "playable", so there is only 3 races in play.
avatar
JMich: Any specific reason to believe that?
Yes.

Speedreading the OP and mixing up things. Closer reading reveals that The Arbiter and the elroy's are not the same.

My prefered fishing pole is made out of trinitrotoluene. I am subtle that way. However, I have learned from JMich to pay more attention to reading the posts - and I notice your reply did not answer my question. (or did I miss it?)

How come you also arrive at 5 scum? should it not be 4?

My apolosorrys, not on porpoise I assure you.

Regarding number of scum I will state my reaction was somewhat knee jerk due to having been in so many 12 player games here recently. I'm used to there being only three so when someone claims five I'm like whaaaa?!?!

Realistically though a 17 player game 25 to 33% of the base would be a 4 to 5 mafia team.
The Arbiter stood in the midst of the assembly and called for silence.

"I have been asked to provide a summary of the proceedings thus far. Here are the current votes:

Robbeasy has 1 vote (cast by nmiller)
SirPrimalform has 1 vote (cast by DarkoD13)
amok has 1 vote (cast by 5foote)
5foote has 4 votes (cast by cmdr_flashheart, RWarehall, 01kipper, IShoot4lolz)
flubbucket has 1 vote (cast by Robbeasy)
01kipper has 1 vote (cast by SirPrimalform)
alisarabi has 2 votes (cast by amok, CSPVG)"

Almost before the Arbiter had finished speaking there was a bloodcurdling scream in the chamber. Everyone spun to see 5foote fall to the ground convulsing. As her body seized, a transformation slowly began to work its way across her features. Her skin became several shades darker and her limbs appeared to change size slightly. After a few minutes her convulsions slowed to tremors, and then merely shivers. She opened her eyes and said with a voice entirely not her own, "Hello, my name is Vitek."

Everyone seemed shocked, but there was a gleam of longing in alisarabi's eye, as if she too desired to undergo this metamorphosis in the near future...

5foote has been replaced by Vitek. Play continues as normal.

Welcome aboard Vitek. This will certainly make for some interesting debates.

Not everybody is in that situation. Shall we map out the species and their attributes, or is it giving too much information to scum ? I'd also suggest having one person per faction, informing town of his understanding of the setting, without giving up other people's identities.

One interesting aspect is that we are distinct species, facing a common enemy. I Wonder if there would be objective reasons to not fully cooperate, or if it's precisely a test on our communautarist reflexes...
Get your filthy votes off me.

I am sorry you got stuck with me.

There is so many juicy targets in here. It will be hard to pick my prefered victims?
Any volunteers? JMich? Rob?

Robbeasy: hmmm. Flubb, interesting choice of mainly newbies to the game there. Trying to pick on the new folk to further your evil schemes?
I dare you to try to find another explanation to why flub chose those people besides newbiness. ;-)
You can use, like, I don't know, votecount or stuff.

Agreed. ;-)

You're meaning that it's better to clarify the game setting as little as possible ?
