How many of you play this interesting game?

I'd like to play with some people from GOG, preferably while all talking on Vent or Skype or something.
I have it but I don't have it installed.
Not to nitpick, but in case anyone is particular about this sort of thing it's not an FPS. The view is always in third person except when you look through a scope.

It's pretty good for what it is. I played it for a while but uninstalled because though I enjoy playing it, I never have any feeling of satisfaction when I'm done. It's kind of miserable for reasons I can't put my finger on other than lack of atmosphere and no sense of a permanent world or population.

Gameplay is mostly instanced 4 player co-op missions and 8v8 capture point matches with TF-style classes. Nothing much to get excited about except jetpacks and stealth, which take up weapon slots, i.e. you have to switch out your weapon to use them. This is at least interesting if not terribly exciting.

The MMO part of GA involves a strategic map whose borders are decided by clan matches, which I believe are more varied and complex than the regular PvP games. I haven't played this myself. There is also an open PvE area with quests for those inclined.

Control is excellent, sound effects are bland but mostly (maybe all) original, environments are sterile and boring, character models are uninteresting and customization is lame. Itemization all around is ultra lame, which some would consider a plus since the game is about twitch combat. The music is pretty bad, the chat system is terrible, interface customization is nonexistent.

Hi-Rez seems like a pretty cool company, and I give them credit for not being too ambitious or making promises they can't keep. Their main reason for buying the Tribes franchise is that they wanted to add open PvP to Global Agenda but didn't think they could do it right with the current game. I like that they've adapted quickly to keep GA alive. Last time I looked, they were asking for community feedback on whether players would prefer a business model based on regular paid DLC, big retail expansions, or an item shop.

Now I feel kind of bad for uninstalling the damned game.

Damuna: I don't have it, but I hear it's an MMOFPS. What's that like?
Think an online shooter that has RPG elements. Looks good, might pick it up.
I have the game, still got it installed but haven't played it much. I got it during its "APB refugee" sale period.

I agree completely with einexile on this game. A few things that annoyed me were:

PvE: As far as I can tell, there's really only one big desert area and the repeatable co-op areas. I'm still level 16 so I cant do the higher level coop stuff, but so far they're pretty much just linear gauntlets filled with enemies and a boss at the end with some simple traps in the way. I hope the higher level missions are more interesting with more variety in the enemies you fight and areas that have multiple routes you can take. Missions in the big desert area are mostly the usual mmo garbage - kill ?? many monsters, retrieve ?? many loot items, kill the remote areas designated boss.

PvP: Only fought 2 pvp matches, both were one-sided ass kicking contests, and both times I was unfortunately on the ass-end. Thing that annoyed me was that both times I was the noob of the team (everybody had cooler looking weps, armor and helms. I don't even have a helm yet) yet I felt like I was fighting better than some of my teammates, my lowly recon managed to, over about 3 mins, take out 2 higher level Assault and Medic players myself :)
I don't know, but I get the impression pvp is unbalanced.
The much more interesting looking Alliance v Alliance can't even be played until I hit level 30 :(

I kinda like the game, I still haven't joined any clans yet (I was in one but it wasn't very active so I left), but I wish I had APB, that when played with at least 3 buddies was awesome fun, despite its problems IMO :)
Tried the free trial-thing on Steam.

Interesting, but not enough loot/customization for the RPG factor, and not enough control for the FPS factor.
Just a few things I want to add.

In regards to PvE, this is a pretty mixed bag. There is a small open world desert that starting players must complete quests in till they are level 10, upon which they can compete in PvP. It is fairly dull, and definitely has that "tacked on" feeling. However, once you get beyond this, the PvE can actually be pretty entertaining at times.

When you reach 30, you can start participating in Double Agent missions. These are standard instanced missions, but with two additional players helping the AI. It definitely makes things far more entertaining, since each time the tactics change. Instead of battling average bosses, you are having to fight the boss while handling two other players who constantly keep you on your toes. There are raids as well, which is essentially a survival style mission.

PvP though is what I enjoy. It is nice that teams are always balanced equally with classes, and it really is up to the player to make a difference. Even at level 10, I felt pretty useful among the crowd and was reaching decent scores. I imagine being part of an active "agency" tho would be more fun, as there is a metamap that you fight for dominance over.
I played it for a few hours. The first levels seem quite boring, and thus, have stopped playing it. Don't know if the whole game is like this, but it felt VERY empty compared to WoW.
