Tough question, so I'm going to name the two main games which made of me a fan of strategy titles: Defender of the Crown and Dune II. ;)

Army Men as Siecje mentioned was a game series that I used to have so much fun playing. I hope GOG would revived and bring them here.

Strategy is my favorite genre. Hard to choose which one is my top one. Total War, Heroes of M&M, and Civilization series are the top ones.
