LaPtiteBete: So, here on GOG, and suitable for kids... so far I got :
No one mentioned Torin's Passage yet?

rtcvb32: Did i put in Super Puzzle Puzzle Platformer Deluxe? Played it a bit, reminds me of the old SNES/Genesis games, like Tetris attack and Columns... only quite different in it's execution :P
Seems nice... I've put it in my wishlist...
I don't know how much I spent since the beginning of the sales... Let's have a look. 38,68 € (48,47 $). Gosh... but for 20 games... :-)
I will never have enough time in my life to play all the games I've bought here...
I just grabbed both Giana sister's games for my son, and Sang Froid for me... :-)

LaPtiteBete: So, here on GOG, and suitable for kids... so far I got :

- Beatbuddy (bought yesterday)
- Botanicula (bought yesterday)
- Fez
- Gobliiiins pack
- Gomo
- Inner world (is this one suitable for kids ?)
- Kyrandia series
- Machinarium
- Pixeljunk Shooter
- Sam & Max series (maybe still a bit difficult for a 7 years old... ?)
- Shelter
- Tales of Monkey Island (maybe a bit complicated too ?)
- Terraria
- Theme Hospital, Theme Park (oldies but goodies)
- Treasure Adventure Game
- Trine 2
- Triple Town (just bought it)
- Tyrian 2000
- Unmechanical
- Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures (seems not available anymore)

They look great but I hesitate / wait (to have more money, or a (better) promo) :

- Aqua Kitty
- Battle Chess (I have to learn him how to play chess first)
- Broken Age Season Pass (woaaa, graphics... but still quite expensive)
- Chronology (seems interesting... but a bit short)
- CLARC (looks like WALL-E :) but seems quite hard...)
- Don't Starve (I've never heard about that one... sounds really cool, maybe more for me :))
- Dust: An elysian tail (looks very beautiful too)
- Giana Sisters : Twisted Dreams
- Incredible Machines (back in 1994, I used to play Sid & Al incredible Toons... it's quite the same I think ?... it looks really old now...)
- Mousecraft
- Pid
- Pinball Gold Pack (why not... !)
- Raptor (I think I already have a game like that... [EDIT] Tyrian 2000 ![/EDIT])
- Rayman Origins (looks great !!)
- SimCity 2000 (I already have SimCity 4, but find it too difficult for my son)
- Snapshot
- Spelunky ([EDIT]-80% right now ! hummm... temptation[/EDIT]).
- Steamworld Dig
- Teslagrad (comments says that the gameplay is hard...)
- Worms 2
- Z (never played... the graphics remind me Dune 2000 !)
Are all of these available in French? That's more than I realized. Missed the part where French was a requirement.

Despite being an Al Lowe game, Torin's Passage is a P&C adventure game for kids. Consequently, it has simpler puzzles and the like. It's fully voiced, in English, but that doesn't help you if you need French versions. :(

Hello !
They're probably not all available in french ; but some of them don't need any english skills to be played or understood... some of them don't even have any language at all ; I think of Gomo or Machinarium, for example, which are fully expressed through pictures ! :)
I would like to add another game to the list: Thomas Was Alone.

I didn't know this one :) looks like a good puzzle/platform game... The gameplay seems really good !
Too bad it isn't available on GOG...
It costs 7.99 € on STEAM ; not really expensive, but I'm used to really cheap prices thanks to GOG's big sales :)
I have a STEAM account, but only one game in it... it doesn't attracts me as much... I don't know if they do big sales too (?).

Yeah, on top of that it seems to be one of those games where it's not the devs' but rather GOG's "fault". IIRC it's one of those popular and successful indie titles GOG rejected for some reason (presumably because it doesn't look like much and GOG didn't expect it to suddenly become a classic - can't blame them).

Sure they do, they pretty much set the standards. Steam was already doing 90% off deals when GOG was still expressing itself against too extreme price drops because they "devalue games".

Another reckless spending place... :D good grief. My banker will kill me.
I have the fondest memories of playing Kyrandia. Games with good music tend to stay with you through the years so I would recommend them the most.

It's not in French either though, and there are two elements to it: the puzzle platformer gameplay which is fine for a kid, and the voiced story, which will be in English and is not really aimed at kids (parts of it can be understood by kids - provided they know English - but other parts are very abstract - partially too abstract even for an adult like me - and all in all I don't think most kids would enjoy the story as a whole). You could just play the puzzle platformer without listening to the story and it will probably work, but that's kind of missing the point, because they go hand in hand.

In these days, We have various game collections for kids. The experience which we gain in playing of each game is varied and interesting also. We have a chance to learn the various unknown tips in games. I am interested to play all types of games.

shame GOG doesn't have Plants vs Zombies or I'd recommend that one.

How about Terraria?
