Journey.
So beautiful. I almost started crying at a few points. Gonna head back to my friend next week again for the weekly Trophy, and another playthrough.

8. Heavy Gear (1997) (PC, 7.5.2012, 8.5/10)
I completed the 32-mission Story mode on hard difficulty. Maybe I'll try also Tour of Duty mode, which is apparently a bit more strategic campaign without a story (which is fine by me as I didn't really care about the HG story and poor live FMV). I already played a couple of missions on Tour of Duty too.
Quite a nice mech game, I enjoyed it more than I hoped for, even the dated graphics were fine to me. It was a good medicine for my Mechwarrior itch, even if I didn't like HG quite as much as Mechwarrior 2 (and Mercs). I missed especially the heat problem aspect from MW games, but otherwise HG was quite good.
Difficulty level (on hard) was spot on for me. Not irritatingly hard, but many missions required several attempts so it wasn't a run-through either.

Astro Tripper - Arcade shooter from one the recent indie bundles. Not a great game. What ruins it is the daft timelimit. Still worth playing through I suppose. 360 controller working perfectly.
Ico - My first ever playthrough (and last). Played the HD version on PS3 and must say I am greatly dissapointed. Somehow managed to avoid this always and that has been kind of building the personal expectations. Horrible camera and escort/battle mechanism in bland/bleak environment is just not fun. Had I played this like 10 years ago it had been different.

Easy. Tabletop games already had well-defined worlds and tight perfectly working gameplay, which meant that the developers could focus more on perfecting and adapting the game instead of making up another RPG stat system or some such.

Just finished Batman Arkham Asylum today, one of the best games I've ever played. I wish Batman AC GOTY was already released on PC...

Due to school and Skyrim I've only managed to complete Half-Life: Blue Shift and Deity this year. I really have to get back to a lot of games once I've finished Skyrim for the first time...

AFnord: Good point. But then why did it stop? Very few tabletop licences that don't already have PC-games from their 90's seem to be made, and only the Warhammer 40k licence seem to still be going strong. Even the most popular licence of the 90's, D&D, hardly gets any games these days. Nergal01

Gazoinks: Hm, now that's a good question. We could really use another good D&D game... EDIT: Finished Portal, now that I finally bought Portal 2. Time for that one.
Also finished the challenge levels. Not interested in timed challenges.
Games finished so far:
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Darwinia, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Shadowgrounds, Braid, And Yet it Moves, Modern Warfare 2, Shank, Dead Space, Kane & Lynch 2, Modern Warfare 3, Rogue Trooper, Depths of Peril, Portal.
