Call of Cthulhu Wasted Land was replaced with a Steam key as well, not sure if it was mentioned already.

Klumpen0815: Oh, people are still giving money to GamersGate?
Why would you do that?
Afaik their "DRM-free" isn't real DRM-free anyway,
but the times of this are nearing the end anyway, hopefully Gabe doesn't buy GoG someday and they are at least the last to give in.
I'm guessing because of the blue coin system or to support healthy competition.

micktiegs_8: I hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but I have Salvation Prophecy on there mainly because I didn't realise I could buy it elsewhere at the time. How can I 'back up' the game exactly? I always thought I needed to sign in to GG if I wanted to play on another machine?

Can I just grab the files and plop them anywhere I like?
Does the game come with a download link (don't have this one on GG)?

If yes, follow the instructions given here by SirPrimalform.

After you're done, you can (re)install your game without ever having to go online or log into GG.
All this buying games DRM-free is becoming a very challenging game itself. :(

If only I could trust GOG not to go about loosing too many games as well.

At least the games that GOG lost are still available for download to those who bought them before.

Aye - thats what I really dont get in this situation.
This doesn't look good: thread created in GG support area
These decision are enforced by the developer or publisher. Once we receive a request to remove a product or change its download method GamersGate is bound by contract to accept the changes. The only thing that you can do is request a refund in such cases. I agree such events should be told to the customers first (and support) but at this moment that communication is a bit lacking.

You can submit a refund request at the link below.

baffling since they're in Sweden, you'd think they'd be able to retain the DRM free downloads for already purchased copies. Any of you going to try for a refund?

On a side note, this has given me a kick up the arse to start downloading my DRM free Humble Bundle games (not that I have many, only the 2K bundle stuff)

I'm just gonna contact the publisher direct and ask for a GOG key instead. Gray Matter is here afterall

Edit: done, and also pointed to this thread!

Coelocanth: Taking a page from your book, and taking my custom elsewhere. I also have a small pile of Blue Coins and it looks like The I of the Dragon is what I'll use them on too. :)
Good deal! It does look like a bit of fun for nothing spent. And a nice way to say goodbye to GG, with one of their games in my pocket and none of my money in theirs. :)

Smart! Let us know if it pans out. I already have the affected titles here, but a great options for other folks leaving the s(t)inking ship.

Remember when Gamersgate had a web show? :)

I feel really sorry for those two...obviously they didn't volunteer to be in that web show...

All these changes everywhere.. I'm getting over my laziness and backing up everything I can from everywhere. Fortunately, backing up the GG games correctly isn't as hard as I'd feared. Thanks for the heads up!

You mean like TET and G-Doc in the (still unfinished) Brithday rap competition?

Expect this comment to vanish - last four on the subject did! O____o
