Trilarion: you go to court
Man, I'm in Russia. There are taiga and drunk bears around. If I come to courthouse crying something about "infringed rights in digital distribution sphere"...:) I just can feel Kalashnikov nozzle pushing my ribs... :)

I'd like to hang out with some drunk bears. Sounds fun!

Yeah, it may sound fun indeed, but no drunk bear ever heard about "digital distribution". So Kalashnikov nozzle is inevitable end of drunk bears party. You choose.
They´ve been doing this for a game or other already. Ppl, important remind: always keep your back-up up to date! That applies for GOG games too. You never know.

hedwards: It astonishes me the way so many shops are effectively signing their own death warrants by dealing with Steamkeys so prominently.

IAmSinistar: Exactly. Once you help build a monopoly, the monopoly no longer needs you.
It's like working for a James Bond villain. When he hits the self destruct button, he will escape with hundreds of billions of dollars while all his henchmen die...

Perfect!
So.. GG to GG
I think that apart from some games going from DRM-free to Steamworks, there was also the exact opposite. I had on my wishlist a game called AGON The Lost Sword of Toledo, which had SecuROM as DRM, but now it is listed as a "New" release and it says DRM-free. Mobygames states Kalypso Media as Publisher, but now GG states Private Moon Studios as publisher. So that must be it.
Seeing all this hysteria a looked up my Achtung Panzer(+Graviteam Tactics) collection. No keys unfortunately. :(

Darn you Gamersgate, why the others get Steam keys, and i dont? I will never buy a game from you again! >.>

Rodor: Just now I logged in my Gamersgate account to download some games (which are either not present yet on GOG or I just haven't bought them here yet), like Space Empires 5 and AIWar Collection - and what do I see? The 'download" link is disappeared and the "Steam-key" button appeared. For Space Empires? Don't make me laugh, Steam-sh*tasses! Is it "just for convenience to download fresh patches" or what? Are you complete idiots? Where are my DRM-free copies which I had bought? I didn't buy Steam-keys! Where are them?
Is it normal to treat customers like that?
Fortunately I haven't been affected by this, but thank you for mentioning it. This can't be legal by means of the definition.
I remember considering gamersgate, but the policies of the games were not to my liking as i recall. I'm glad i didn't buy from them or get started on them.

Fictionvision: Thankfully I have all my games from there backed up. I have a little over a dollar in blue coins left. Guess its time to spend those, get the last game and forget about them if they can't be trusted to keep games sold as DRM Free that way anymore.
I hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but I have Salvation Prophecy on there mainly because I didn't realise I could buy it elsewhere at the time. How can I 'back up' the game exactly? I always thought I needed to sign in to GG if I wanted to play on another machine?

Can I just grab the files and plop them anywhere I like?

Coelocanth: I am Groot!

IAmSinistar: Yes you are. And as an actual fan of Rocket Raccoon from his original comic book days, I'm itching to kill me some clowns.
Taking a page from your book, and taking my custom elsewhere. I also have a small pile of Blue Coins and it looks like The I of the Dragon is what I'll use them on too. :)
They switched my Batman Arkham Asylum download for a steam key when GFWL was removed, which I was not entirely happy with, but better Steam than GFWL so I did not complain. I am not seeing any other game downloads replaced with steam keys though.

Yes. If it says DRM: DRM-free, you can. But there is a trick when it comes to GG's DRM-free games: Start the installer, and stop it right before clicking install. Leave it open and make a copy of the downloaded file and paste it wherever you want on your PC. That way you'll have a fully functioning setup file.
