I have the opportunity to chose from a bunch of various games to get for free, and I'm trying to chose between a few different options. One of which, is a 4 pack of games that includes Hard Reset (no expansion), DLC Quest, Lair of the Evil Doer, and Jolly Roger. If I pass on this 4 pack, I have a whole bunch of options of other games I can get instead...

I already own Jolly Roger, and have heard enough about Hard Reset to be educated, am not interested in Lair of the Evil Doer... but I haven't really heard anything about DLC Quest. It looks charming, and something I think I'd enjoy, but seeing as how it's the type of game I would think many GOG'ers would enjoy... Have you played it? What're your thoughts? It looks like it'd either be really fun, or a huge let down.

id jump on the deal for Hard Reset even without the dlc (if i didnt already have it; similarly no dlc) + extra games

It's cute, but there's only one joke, so you'd better find it funny. It is very, very short (sit down, play it, beat it in an hour), and has no replay value. Precisely the sort of game you want to get in a bundle instead of paying for it separately, but I wouldn't buy the bundle for it unless at least some of the other three games interest you.

My recommendation though, is pick up Hard Reset (the DLC is free anyway) if you're into FPS. It's great fun.

I watched a 'let's play' and it was enough. I don't consider it a 'game', more a mark of protest. Many free flash games have far more gameplay value.

These games were an indieroyale bundle. I had finished them all.

DLC Quest has fun but it's too short. The same applies to Lair of the Evil Doer.
I would suggest Jolly Rover, if you didn't already have it .

So If you like FPS I suggest Hard Reset.

I'd say DLC Quest is fun for about half an hour at most. On the other hand, I've spent quite a few hours on Lair of the Evildoer.

Yeah, all they have already said, I played DLC Quest few days ago, it's fun and the game + expansion (dlc?) only lasted like 40 minutes...

Thanks everyone for your input! I ended up passing on it, and deciding to get some of the other options. Had DLC quest been a few hours long, I would've gotten it (I'm amused by that type of game for extended periods of time).

Instead, I ended up getting the Geneforge Saga (Cause people love it, though I'm not sure if I will), Syberia, and "Da New Guys" . I need to wait a little longer, and then I will probably grab Syberia 2. I have a bunch of other options, but I have most of the games I *want* otherwise.

Since I have a feeling I might know what the list is...

One game I found pretty funny and that you might like (especially if you like Da New Guys and if you don't have it already) is The Shivah. Whenever you're asked a question, one option is always "rabbinical answer," which is answering a question with another question. :D

DLC quest is a one trick pony which lasts for 1/2 hour. After this there is no replayability nor any point of returning. It should not be a decider in any case (nor do I see why it should be a paid game, to be honest...) You can see all there is in a lets-play video, if you so wanted.
