So i'm after one of the two games, but which one is the better one to chose?
I didn't play Enclave, so don't know anything about it, but Advent Rising needs a sequel that was never released. In fact, when you actually see a sign of the plot, the game is almost at the end of the game.

As a game, is a decent third person shooter-platformer, although a bit easy.

Advent Rising is a poor game IMO. Enclave is a much better choice.

You've played either of them?

Played them both. Didn't finish either, unfortunately( netcafes), but Enclave is really a nice game, and Advent Rising... Well, i stopped playing after about 20 minutes. Boring...
I've played both, and my opinion differs. I thought Advent Rising was a much better game, even with the plot issues. Better gameplay, atmosphere, powers are way cooler, the soundtrack is IMO one of the best ever made.

For me, Enclave started good but went downhill, and Advent Rising only got better with the powers.

Wish we could get a sequel.

Thanks. I checked some youtube vids, and Enclave does seem to have a tighter structured gameplay.
Played Encalve long time ago when the game come out and it was very fun, and very challenging.

But only good memories from that time... damn, now i fell like play it. :S

Didn't play Advent Rising so i can't compare.
I've finished both. I regret even buying Enclave but I can't say anyone would share that idea. It's basically a single player campaign based upon those Rune games but with a poor execution.

Advent Rising is sharing surprisingly much with both Halo and Mass Effect and I enjoyed it. It was suppose to be a trilogy but the company went under. The only down side to this game is the movement or animations of the legs is nothing sort of hilariously bad.

Argh. Now its getting hard to choose again.

What about what Ghildrean said about advent rising, especially the lack of story ending?
Definitely go for Enclave. It's one of Starbreeze's finest games. I really wish they made Enclave 2, which was actually planned at the time, but well, still no word from it.

On the other hand, Advent Rising looked interesting to me before it was released, but after I tried out, it turned out to be a poor Halo copy. Couldn't play for more than thirty minutes. Decided to try it out once again after a year, still a bad game, didn't stay for long.

I checked out Advent Rising just because it was based on Orson Scott Card's game, but i was very disappointed. This is no Ender's Game...
Well, Enclave is basicly H&S in TPP but without stats, and you can only buy gear before missions.
The plot is not that important i guess... it's about having fun killing mobs and finding secret locations :)
I see people only played the first minutes of Advent Rising. Well, the game only begins to shine after some 2 hours, I think. You get powers, and from there on you don't ever need weapons again, and can try different combinations (multi-targeting long range attacks, or the lovely bullet-time + evolved melee). Enclave, on the other hand, I thought was too repetitive and boring.

Indeed. However, I can see people enjoying a game like Enclave if you're into finding secrets or just trying to jump or find places.
